WIWOX® CORUS HD ultrasonic systems have been specially designed for cleaning high-quality moulds and precision tools. In maintenance these replace the labour-intensive and often ineffective manual cleaning. The ultrasonic cleaning process can be used for all metal moulds, in particular tools for injection moulding, extrusion, rubber processing as well as aluminium and gravity die casting. A typical structure consists of three stages: 1. cleaning, 2. rinsing and 3. passivating. The usable dimensions are matched to common mould sizes. The workpieces to be washed are placed in the tank either with the aid of a washing basket or with a lifting beam. Our ErgoStation is recommended for manual rinsing, drying and post-treatment. The working area is completely enclosed, brightly illuminated and ventilated. Operation is safe and simple, as the moulded parts are loaded laterally through a sliding door and held by a lifting device during treatment.

Aqueous cleaning at temperatures between 60° and 80° C ensures absolute degreasing and particle removal. Organic or inorganic residues such as polishing paste, paint, plastic, release agents, oil carbon or lime can be easily removed by using the right cleaner. The workpieces are cleaned within a few minutes. The cleaning result is always perfect and reproducible. The subsequent rinsing process is followed by stain-free post-cleaning or preservation. Loading takes place via an extendable platform, which can be loaded at an ergonomic working height. The workpieces are mechanically cleaned by means of pump pressure in the spray chamber process. The temperature-controlled washing liquid is sprayed onto the workpiece via a spray frame.The washing plant is operated via a side switch box with electrical control. Before the washing process, the loading basket is loaded and driven into the rinsing chamber via a roller conveyor. The door is closed manually (optionally also automatically). The machine reaches an operating temperature of 40°C within just a few minutes. After a further 30 minutes, the maximum washing temperature of 70°C is reached. The motor-driven spraying gyro completely revolves around the parts to be washed.

The wet medium is sprayed through nozzles onto the surfaces of the parts. Particles are removed from the parts by kinetic energy, and then washed away. The cleaning result is primarily determined by the position and shape of the nozzles, the spray pressure and the volume of media applied to the parts. In industrial parts cleaning, the surfaces are then normally rinsed and dried.

The HF current supply is realized via a power supply line which is lead via connection box at the back, a pipe elbow or a flexible metal mesh hose. The KLN BATCH-INLINE cleaning system is based on many years of experience with Inline Cleaning systems for the electronics production and unites, for the first time, the technological advantages of Inline cleaning with low space requirement of a Batch system. By far, most of the Inline cleaning systems in Germany for the large-scale production “Automotives” and “alternative energy” come from company KLN. This system was developed to make the efficient Inline cleaning technology available now also for customers with smaller budgets and throughputs.

KLN ultrasonic generators are incorporated in cleaning tanks of various capacity from some liters up to several cubic meters. They have a high operating reliability also under extremely difficult application conditions. Based on decades of experience in developing ultrasonic generators today we have a broad variety of generator series, meeting the most various requirements concerning frequency, way of installation and output power.

With this machine system KLN has created a reasonably priced solution for aqueous part cleaning. Application is possible in all ranges of industry and for all kinds of contamination. The components can be compiled for any process in a modular construction system. They can be supplemented by all systems for tank care as well by an automation of the cleaning processes. The complete PWA series is available also in special sizes. The PWA cleaning tanks are available for determination of residual contamination.

Ultrasonic cleaning tanks of series SW 12, SW 25 and SW 40 are compact tabletop cleaning devices for industrial purposes. The serial version includes a cover with handle. The cleaning tanks can be equipped alternatively with frequencies of 30 or 40 kHz or in combination 30/40kHz. On the front the ultrasonic operation can be set nonstop or for a limited period. The ultrasonic generators are integrated in the stainless steel housings. The devices are equipped with a heating with thermostatic regulation installed at the outside of the tank. It is set on the front. The tanks are made of stainless steel, here the SW40 – SW90 are built in welded design. On the bottom they have a residual clearance. Heated and cold cleaning tanks complete the program. Only aqueous cleaning agents are permitted in the cleaning tanks.

KLN manufactures various cleaning machines acc. to ATEX (ATmosphère EXplosibles) for the use of combustible liquids. The cleaning machines can be used separately or in combination with other methods. The cleaning tanks must be operated at a well ventilated place. The combustible cleaning agent can be filled in directly into the tanks. The ultrasonic generators are set up separately. A safety thermostat (setting 15°C below the flash point) controls the adherence to a max. temperature and in case of excess temperature it switches the machine off. The cover included in the delivery avoids emissions from the tank during standstills. The machines can also be used in connection with aqueous cleaning methods.
