A spirit level is a tool generally made of metal, which has a completely flat surface and includes one- or two-colored tubes each containing a liquid and an air bubble. It is this air bubble, trapped in the liquid, which will allow us to carry out the measurements. This measurement is based on the physical principle of Archimedes' thrust, which means that the bubble will always tend to rise in the direction of the slope. So, for the bubble to be perfectly aligned between the marks made on the tube, the tube must be completely horizontal. To summarize, the spirit level allows us to check the horizontal level, the vertical level, and even for some models the 45° level. During this pretreatment, the surface of the component is cleaned and degreased using a sandblasting process. An optimal bond is then guaranteed by applying an adhesion promoter. The metal component (e.g. steel, aluminum, cast) takes on the function of the stable supporting body. The Vulkollan® coating meets high-performance requirements in terms of wear protection, damping and noise reduction.
