Metallic reflection coatings enhance reflection and are used in many optical instruments for light deflection. We coat glass, metal and plastic. The choice of coating material depends on the reflection requirements in the defined wavelength range. We use aluminium, gold, silver and chromenickel, either with or without protection coating for the VIS, UV and IR ranges.

Befort develops and manufactures laser optics for a wide range of applications since more than 20 years. Befort offerings range from a simple AR coated protective glass with a high laser damage threshold to a complex focus readjustment unit for ultrashort pulse lasers (Zoombox). Our laser optics are made of high quality Schottglass or quartz glass. Befort coats the optics precisely for their wave length. The coating exhibits a particular high laser damage threshold (LDT). With vibration sorting, small batches / quantities can be processed individually up to 200 pieces per minute. Depending on the type of object, we recommend different designs / types – conical, cylindrical or stepped. Surfaces are preferably glass bead blasted or metaline coated (both variants have FDA approval). Mounting types are medium voltage and external voltage.

RSLD is our short cut for a laser head consisting of a total of 3 motorized axes for use in large-format laser machines in gantry design for the 3-dimensional laser cutting of components. The horizontal main axis of the laser head permits endless movement, even during the rotary movement the axes below are permanently supplied with cooling water, process gases and all electrical signals. Suitable optics are used for the laser source used, either directly water-cooled metal mirrors with low-absorption coating or alternatively glass optics. The use of an adaptive optics enables the freely programmable focus position for cutting and piercing. The exclusive use of torque motors reduces mechanically moving components and thus guarantees consistently high machining accuracy and best machining results over a long service life, against mechanical damage reliably protects our proven 3D collision protection.

Raytek GS150 thermal imaging systems enable automated quality control in glass bending, forming, annealing, and tempering processes. The GS150LE variant is especially designed for Low-E (low emissivity) glass / one-side coated flat glass. It features automatic emissivity correction. The systems are based on the Raytek MP150 infrared line scanner, which has a max. resolution of 1024 points per line, a max. 150 Hz scanning frequency, and an up to 90° wide field of view.
