Optics are rarely standalone components. They frequently need a casing, a carrier or even complex integration into a system. This is the exact specialty of our Mechanical Engineering department. We put our mechanical production skills in the service of optomechanical and even purely mechanical customer applications. We manufacture nonferrous metal, noncorroding machininggrade steel and plastic components and produce highprecision mechanical subassemblies as well as unmounted turned and milled parts in small and medium quantities. Washer-shaped locking head This valuable locking head shape distributes the contact pressure evenly over the component, making it the perfect fastener for riveting soft and brittle components such as plastics and composites. Large clamping range One PolyBulb® blind rivet replaces up to three conventional blind rivets and reduces part variety. In simple sealed moulds, glass fibre reinforced plastic components that are smooth on both sides are produced cost-effectively under a vacuum in comparatively short cycle times. The production of sandwich components resistant to bending, with a foam core, and the direct integration of metal reinforcements and threaded elements – for example for large vehicle components – has also proven itself.
