The fully automatic Petri dish labeling system offers maximum flexibility for laboratories. It adapts to various requirements, processes different dish sizes simultaneously, and can be used with or without a LIMS (Laboratory Information and Management System). With a mobile frame and compact design, it's suitable for narrow laboratory doors. It prints 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes, human-readable texts, and special markings such as temperature indicators. The machine features 5 fixed and 5 automatic stacking magazines. A 15.6-inch touch panel enables intuitive operation and interaction, with customizable help texts and product images. The software provides functions like system visualization, communication with the machine control, and remote support via b+b's Quick-support Tool. It enables efficient communication with LIMS or order processing tools.

The products are manually placed on the conveyor belt, printed from above and collected at the end of the system. The portable system is equipped with a Wolke m610 Touch thermal inkjet system. An upgrade to a manual serialisation system with b+b Linemanager and Full Vision System is optionally available. The conveyor belt is driven by a powerful stepper motor with constant speed. The conveyor belts are provided with crossbars at regular intervals to achieve constant product guidance and thus a consistent print result. The distance between the two toothed belt conveyors can be easily adjusted in order to process different product widths. For processing slightly slanted products, the positions of the crossbars can also be adjusted to each other.

The STS-B was developed for the simple aggregation of pharmaceutical packs into a bundle. For this purpose, the barcodes of serialized products are captured from below by the vision system through a scratch-resistant glass plate. The distance between camera and barcode therefore always remains the same. The maximum working surface is 420 mm (W) x 300 mm (D). The detected serial numbers are marked in green so that they are easy for the operators to understand. Depending on the configuration, the system can compare the recorded serial numbers with the default values of the L3 installation. Particular attention was paid to user guidance (workflow) in order to achieve maximum process reliability. In order to completely fill the carton layer(s) or spaces, barcodes that cannot be placed with the barcode facing upwards due to their orientation can be manually added in each layer by the integrated handheld scanner to complete the respective layer or carton.

Why streaming current? The charge potential of particle surfaces of the solids in a disperse system plays an important part in water treatment procedure. Due to the unidirected charge of these particles, an approach is prevented. The particles are stabilized in its solution. A separation of these particles will be easier, if the surface charge can be reduced and the particles can form bigger flakes and bigger units. In order to control this process, it is important to measure the surface potential of the solids. What is streaming current? If you fix two electrodes in a pipe-line carrying a suspension, one in the centre and the other one near the pipe-line wall, you can measure a current. This is caused by the separation of the counter ions from the solids. The counter ions will be carried with the turbulent flow, and the solids tend to stick to the pipe-line wall by adsorption and by 'van-der-Waals' forces. The measured current is named current caused by flow or Streaming-Current.
