Befort develops and manufactures laser optics for a wide range of applications since more than 20 years. Befort offerings range from a simple AR coated protective glass with a high laser damage threshold to a complex focus readjustment unit for ultrashort pulse lasers (Zoombox). Our laser optics are made of high quality Schottglass or quartz glass. Befort coats the optics precisely for their wave length. The coating exhibits a particular high laser damage threshold (LDT). Befort maintains its own optics design & construction department. Optical designs are developed with the lens design Program ZEMAX© OpticStudio 15. The design process is particularly focused on a proper design for production. The admissible tolerances are a major factor for the price of an optical system, in addition to the selection of suitable glass. You can be assured that we will find the optimal solution for your specific problem based on our experience in the field of optics design. Optical imaging systems, laser optics and illumination systems can be measured and dimensioned with Zemax© OpticStudio 15. The 3D data of the optical design is transferred via an interface to the 3D CAD Product Design Program Inventor and with the support of Inventor the fitting mechanical solution is developed

The fully automated assembly station VersaGlue takes components, such as lenses or dies from a loading area and mounts them by epoxy gluing with UV or thermal curing. The large work area of up to 1000 mm x 1000 mm provides space for the positioning of device trays and support systems. The parts are presented manually or fully automated. Feeders or stop-motion conveyor belts bring the parts to the working area and collect the finished product. The VersaGlue processes optoelectronic elements like VCSELs, photo diodes, laser dies and micro optics with highest precision while the passive placement of fiber ribbon cables is another major application.Thorough design and continuous optimization of all functional groups lead to superior mechanical stability. Mechanical references with tight tolerances provide a repeatable manufacturing operation from device to device.

The KLN QSW 400 L is a modular laser welding machine. The advantage of the modular structure is that the central laser welding machine can remain unchanged in the various welding tasks and only the housing and its frame structure must be adapted to the actual welding task. Thus, a well-tried laser welding unit can always be used. Moreover, adaptions to other welding tasks can be easily integrated, e. g. with rotary table, tool carrier, conveyeor or sliding table.
