Dropper pipettes are characterized by very short tips and relatively large volumes. A rubber or silicone teat (see Accessories) at the upper end of the pipette enables the drops formed at the tip to be dispensed easily and conveniently. The pipette tip can be suitably shaped to create the required drop sizes. The same applies for the rim, which can be smooth or slightly flanged to ensure a secure hold of the teat or tubing system. Our dropper pipettes come in various sizes and versions.

The size of these pipettes lies between standard Pasteur pipettes and micropipettes. For many dosing applications, Pasteur pipettes are too large or inaccurate, and micropipettes are too small or delicate. As a solution, we have developed the mini pipette. Design and dimensions of our mini pipettes can be adapted to suit your application. A typical application area is in-vitro fertilization (IVF), for which fine and precise capillary tips are required. Also for our mini pipettes we offer small silicone dropper teats.

Micropipettes are used mainly in medical technology and in research. Thanks to their small tips – which can be less than one micrometer – they can be used to puncture cells, inject substances, or observe and manipulate electrochemical processes by means of a reference solution. Micropipettes are a basic element in modern research, and are available in many different shapes and versions. The raw material Micropipettes are produced by heating and drawing a glass tube with a “puller”. Hereby, different tip shapes can be formed. Depending on the application, the tips can be matched precisely to your requirements. Hereby, tip diameters of less than 1 µm are possible.
