The GESIPA® TRI-FOLD® blind rivet forms three press lashes on the closing head side during setting. Also, the large surface of the lashes offer excellent protection against the rivet being pulled through very soft, porous or brittle application parts. Thanks to its special design, the TRI-FOLD® is also able to compensate over-dimensional or irregular drill hole diameters. Application areas TRI-FOLD® blind rivets are excellently suited for the automotive field, e.g. for plastic panelling, car body parts and for the interior work inside vehicles, but also for all other applications that are particularly soft, brittle, easily deformed or porous.

The products are manually placed on the conveyor belt, printed from above and collected at the end of the system. The portable system is equipped with a Wolke m610 Touch thermal inkjet system. An upgrade to a manual serialisation system with b+b Linemanager and Full Vision System is optionally available. The conveyor belt is driven by a powerful stepper motor with constant speed. The conveyor belts are provided with crossbars at regular intervals to achieve constant product guidance and thus a consistent print result. The distance between the two toothed belt conveyors can be easily adjusted in order to process different product widths. For processing slightly slanted products, the positions of the crossbars can also be adjusted to each other.

This manual labelling solution was developed to apply one or more seal labels to folding boxes in small batches - before fully automatic lines are changed over to the product, the products are already sealed with this device. The seal label can be applied to all closure flaps as required. An ultrasonic fork sensor enables the processing of transparent and non-transparent sealing labels. Label roll-on across corners is clean and accurate. Due to increasing product counterfeiting, many manufacturers are forced to make their products tamper- and counterfeit-proof. Legal requirements exist in some countries for this purpose. We have developed our HSS model series for this task. The system allows printing and inspection of pharmaceutical folding boxes on one and/or both sides and thus fulfills all requirements for product serialization. During development, great attention was paid to protecting the packaging as well as the format range of the products to be processed. In the basic version, folding cartons with format widths (in running direction) of 50-250 mm can be serialized at an output of up to 350 folding cartons per minute.

The workstation enables the manual serialisation of pharmaceutical packs and their aggregation into shipping cartons. For this purpose, each individual box is first printed with order-related serialisation data by a thermal inkjet printing system and then manually placed in a shipping carton. As soon as this is filled, the downstream thermal transfer printer creates an individual serialisation label. The correct print data and print quality are monitored by a camera system. The operator places the drug packs to be labelled at a reference edge of the conveyor belt. As soon as the printer has printed the serialisation data, it is checked for correctness by the integrated image processing system. In case of an error, the product stops at a certain position, which is marked by red LEDs. Depending on the number of products in the shipping carton/number of aggregation levels, approx. 10-12 products/min are serialised.

The LSS-PV model was developed to serialize small product batches cost-effectively and according to the requirements of country-specific FMD guidelines. The products are fed manually. A transport system with product carriers guarantees a precise and continuously accurate alignment of the products. After the printing process performed by a thermal inkjet printing system (TIJ), the print data is inspected. If the inspection result is positive, the products are either collected on the collection table at the outfeed of the system or glide over an optionally available transfer plate into an outer shipping case. Defective products are reliably separated from the GOOD products by the product reject station. This process is verified twice in the PLC.

The STS-T series is based on high-resolution image chips and is available with resolutions of 12, 20 or 30 megapixels. With the real-time autofocus, any number of barcodes, even if they vary greatly in height, can be easily and reliably captured without mechanical or manual adjustment. For this reason, the system also finds its place in the incoming goods department of large pharmacies or re-importers (in entrance module mode). The field of view of 600 mm in width and 400 mm in depth is marked on the base frame. The shipping cases can have a height of up to 380 mm.

Thermal edge folding is a process for connection of textiles with plastics. It is often used in the automotive industry in the field of pillar panelling (e.g. A-column; B-column; C-column, etc.). This process does not create an adhesively joined connection, but the basic textile fibres grip into the melted plastic material.

The 2in1 packaging for Granny's Viva & Nacho Dip contains nachos with the perfect fitting dipping sauce. When a consumer tears this perforation the packaging solution opens up neatly into two separate but connected parts, offering the convenience of a delicious snack, with a tasty sauce ready for dipping. The dynamic, youthful artwork of the packaging design gets an UV-varnish finish.

This unusual octagonal star packaging, for Romanian chocolate manufacturer Heidi, really shines on shelf with its gold foil embossed branding. A premium solution, it is also deliciously simple. Christmas pralines are packed in a traditional folding box, which is then enclosed by a specially-shaped sleeve to create the remaining points of the star. An elegant top closure gives a further nod to the star design.
