Flow monitoring Flow monitoring is a procedure that demands a reliable and reproducible surveillance of limit values and flow patterns. Flow sensors detect critical deviations of the flow rate of liquid and gaseous media. Typical areas of application are the monitoring of cooling circuits in welding applications for example, protection against dry running of pumps, as well as the flow monitoring in air ducts and air conditioning equipment. Because of the calorimetric mode the media temperature is also monitored. Flow rate measurement In addition to reproducibility, flow-rate measurement demands a defined degree of accuracy. The flow meters continuously and accurately measure a defined volume of a fluid per unit of time and are suitable for applications where qualitatively consistent process results and a steady supply of fluids is essential. The pressure transmitter illustrated here measures differences in pressure between the two connections of the measuring element. Pressure differences can be measured with respect to a reference pressure, such as atmosphere, or to the command variable of a regulation system. Equally, however, it is possible to measure pressure differences within systems that have a high static pressure. One practical example of this would be measuring a flow rate by determining the pressure drop occurring across a metering diaphragm. The differential pressure transmitter measures in both directions and can therefore, for instance, be used on double-acting hydraulic cylinders. Its construction permits it to be used with liquid or gaseous media. Venting holes simplify installation. The robust design and the use of stainless steel make it possible to use the pressure transmitter under tough operating conditions.

IFA Technology considers your individual requirements and builds customised dosing systems for you. Volumetric dosing is carried out on a quantity basis by measuring the flow rate of liquids or bulk materials. Application-dependent measuring systems are used in our volumetric dosing systems. These make it possible to provide the specified quantity of material at a defined point in time in a defined ratio. The continuous inline dosing via flow measurement technology or dosing pumps with linear characteristic curve enables recipe-accurate dosing of liquids and bulk materials in a small space.

The teco cs series was improved by installation of a user-friendly touch screen with new, integrated functions. All standard units are equipped with an energy efficient constant heating control. Depending on the product version a flow rate measurement and control, whose actual value is indicated simultaneously with the actual and nominal values on the colour screen, is installed as standard or is optionally available. Temperature profiles are graphically indicated after selection of the corresponding menu function. On the start page useful functions like limit value monitoring, leak stop operation etc. can be selected. The proven teco cs series was improved by installation of a user-friendly touch screen with new, integrated functions. The 95°C series was extended by three versions with higher capacities. The models are designed for larger consumers; they have heating capacities from 18 to 36 kW, cooling capacities from 50 to 120 kW and pump flow rates from 110 to 170 l/min.

The DK32/34 is a variable area (VA) flowmeter for measuring low flow rates of liquids and gases. The tried and tested meter is particularly suitable for flow monitoring and dosing in gas analyser systems or on purge panels. Due to its robust all-metal design it can also be used in difficult process conditions with temperatures up to +200°C / +392°F or pressures up to 400 barg / 5800 psig. It is available with a metering valve as standard to accurately set the flow value. The DK32/34 operates without auxiliary power supply. The device just features a local indication with two optional MIN/MAX limit switches (NAMUR) or a reed contact. To provide constant flow rates in case of variable inlet or outlet pressures, the VA meter is also available with flow regulators. It comes with horizontal or vertical process connections for NPT or G thread and many other connection options. The VA meter has various approvals for hazardous areas.

The VTX2 vortex meter is used for flow and volumetric measurements of conductive and non-conductive fluids, gases and vapours in all industrial branches. The EMA 200 is a portable, battery-powered digital pressure gauge for precise measurement of positive and negative differential pressures. Because it is easy-to-use, the EMA 200 lends itself well to maintenance work and customer service applications for heating, air-conditioning and ventilation units, where it can be used for monitoring filters and measuring fireplace drafts as well as measuring flow rates and determining volumetric flows. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate.

The flow tester CETATEST 915 is used for flow testing with compressed air. It includes a measuring system consisting of laminar flow element (LFE) and differential pressure sensor In the direct test method the air, provided by the internal pressure regulator, flows through the measuring section before it enters the test part.In the indirect method, the measuring section is located in the outlet flow of the test part. Due to the special design of the measuring section a laminar ow is generated. The resulting pressure difference is directly proportional to the volume flow. With the optional electronic pressure regulator and four calibrations for up to four test pressures the application range is substantially expanded. The emtechnik flow meter was developed especially for measuring air with different flow ranges. All sealing surfaces and threads are produced without seams. On request we are also able to offer flow meters customised to specific customer specifications with special measuring ranges and measurement acquisition (annular proximity switch or reed switch). To do this we need details regarding medium, pressure, temperature, measuring range, viscosity and density.

Our flow meters offers a wide range of rear and side connection options. Only special measuring tubes that have been manufactured and calibrated according to customer specification are used. Due to its design, the 4A flow meter for example is ideally suitable for panel mounting and wall mounting. A glass can easily be replaced while still installed.
