Ceramic Insulated (Band) Heaters are predestined for high-temperature applications beyond 450 °C, for example for pipe heating in process heat technology, especially when gases are involved. Ceramic insulated sectional surface heating elements are also brought into action where a heat storage capacity is needed, as in hot plates the case. With the heating surface of ceramic flat heaters being composed by small-limbed ceramic elements with aligned holes in the centre for the resistance coils to be fed through, ceramic sectional heating mats are also applicable for bent or cylindric surfaces. Like Micanite insulated flat heating elements also Ceramic insulated elements can receive a metal sheath. The latter provides additional protection against mechanical load and allows for attaching connection boxes. Another advantage is the easy installation by means of mounting holes in the metal cladding.

Micanite is a kind of insulation paper which is impregnated with a heat resistant binder and afterwards pressed in several shifts under heat and high pressure to plates. This material is heat resistant up to 350 °C, as special construction (Phlogopit) up to 450 °C, and is used for the wire wound formers as well as for the encapsulating cover plates of mica surface heaters. Because of the typical "sandwich"-construction of Micanite Flat Heating Elements and their high watt density it is necessary to use a platen to press the mica heater onto the surface to be heated. Established on the market for round Flat Heating Elements are some standard dimensions (Ø 58 / Ø 65 / Ø 80 / Ø 100 / Ø 160 / Ø 260 mm). But normally Micanite Surface Heating Elements are constructed on customer's request. Mica heaters can be metal sheathed for higher mechanical stability. This makes the heater flexible, so that it is also possible to build a band heater.

EEx’e’ certified electric duct air heater EEx e T2 – T6 ATEX The “LEH-Exe” type electric heaters comprise a range of certified EEx e air duct heaters, custom built to meet client specifications and suitable for use in zone 1 & 2 hazardous areas. The main applications are the heating of air in ventilation - / air conditioning or heat-recovery installations. Wide use areas are applications of the process - / environment-technology i.e. at the catalytic afterburning of exhaust fumes or drying ovens or in the plastic - / textile or paper industry. Through a variable construction concept, diverse use possibilities emerge. The application of highly compacted electrical heating elements with high purity compacted magnesium oxide powder sheathed metal tube and the direct heat transfer at the medium to be heated leads to an efficient realization of the electric energy to thermal energy. Special materials of acid constant rustproof steel stand for the heating of aggressive media by disposal. Alternatively, the heaters can be delivered also in the materials INCOLOY, INCONEL, HASTELLOY and MONEL. Screw-in heaters are versatile and intended for heating liquid media in industrial and commercial applications. When selecting, the specific surface load permitted for the respective medium must be observed and checked by the customer. EHK G1 1/2 are mainly used to heat water and aqueous solutions. 3 tubular heating elements ø 8,5mm made of stainless steel 1.4404 resp. Incoloy 825 brazed in G1 1/2″ thread made of brass (lead free) or stainless steel. Connection to 230/400 V3 (N), rotatable stainless steel terminal box. Use e.g. in washing machines, dishwashers, tempering equipment, laboratory equipment. The heaters are also suitable for water heating with photovoltaics, primarily the EHK G1128xxx series. Combination with all common PV controls possible, stepless power output. We are using CNC - technology for the laying of thin and insulated heating wires on a variety of carrier materials in order to manufacture all kinds of heating elements. We can work up to sizes of 2 x 2 m, and we can realize medium series (500 - 10.000pcs.) as well as high volume productions (up to 1 million pcs.). All voltages from 3,7V up to 480V are possible.
