The MED-approved (wheel) SOLAS person marking light (PML) is a special emergency lighting for life vests. PML is a special emergency lighting for sailors, surfer, and divers (depth up to 100m) with a duration of 8 hours. It is used by French marine and American cost guards, as well. SOLAS PML is particularly suitable for hard-shell jackets and can be easily fixed with the help of clamping device. The Cyalume developed emergency lighting offers special features. It consists of two independent light sources. The white flashing light starts automatically by contact with water; as well it can be activated manually. The burning time amounts to approx. 8 hours. Afterwards, chemical lighting source can be activated through breaking the black protective cover. Due to the depth of field the grid print disappears for the camera and therefore, there is no breakthrough (dark stain) visible on the ecamination area. The flat dome light is very good for reading codes and labels. Coaxial light: these coacial light have a semi-permeable mirror.
