Initial Situation: Inspection of a laser weld seam for pores and geometrical anomalies The production of a client in automotive industry is subjected to extremely stringent quality requirements. This is valid particularly also for the precision of laser weld seam of fine mechanical work. 100% inline supervision is required for the following task: A laser weld beam (width ca. 200µm) has to be verified with respect to the presence of pores and geometrical anomalies. Camera inspection performed until now turned out to be not stable. Therefore the client is forced to implement an improved monitoring process. The challenge The resolution required amounts to 4µm. The high gloss finished material and glossy laser weld seam may give rise to reflections, and the space for installation is restricted. A low form factor for the monitoring equipment is imperative.

Description The multi-coupling has been created for connecting and disconnecting several hydraulic lines at the same time. This is done by an operating lever the guide crank of which is designed for a minimum of operating force. The connection of the hydraulic lines is done with flat face couplings. Due to the secial sealing it is possible to couple against trapped pressure on the male halves (max. 4x100 bar/ 5802 PSI) The main features of the multi coupling are: · Safety against commutability of hydraulic lines · Quick connecting · Coupling against trapped pressure · Optimally minimized leakage during coupling process Working Pressure 250 bar / 25 MPa / 3626 PSI Material Steel Surface Finishing Zinc-Nickel Standard Seal Material(s) NBR (Buna-N®), PTFE, PU

An internationally active medical technology company that produces and sells catheter tubes, among other things, has optimized its manufacturing process with the help of a production line from Metzner Maschinenbau. With Metzner's know-how, it was possible to replace a costly manual process with an automatic machine, saving costs. At the same time, the length accuracy and the cutting quality were significantly improved. The company supplied a fully automatic system that precisely cuts the catheter tubing to length, removes the mandrel present from the extrusion without leaving any residue and without longitudinal expansion, and then deposits the tubing in a collecting container at the end. Processing with exact length accuracy and mandrel removal The Metzner special development cuts catheter tubes to an exact length and removes the mandrel inside safely and precisely. The finished material is deposited in a collection container.

Riga Prime FR Birch plywood ( Riga Ply, BB) overlaid with a fire retardant primer on one or both faces, thus decreasing fire reaction. Plywood is less combustible and it is harder to burn. Fire retardant properties are on primed sides only. Fire classes In accordance with the standard EN 13501 Riga Prime FR meets requirements of fire classes: B-s1 d0 Bfl-s1 Application Anywhere where high fire safety is required. Recommended for indoor use as subflooring, ceilings, and partition walls in rooms with low humidity, for example, conference rooms, theatres, cinemas, exhibition halls and retaurants. Not recommended for outdoor use, for rooms with high humidity, in direct sunlight and subject to heavy mechanical load. Advantages Significantly slows down flame spread, reduces heat and smoke development, and ensures extra evacuation time in the event of fire. Riga Prime FR can be painted and glued. Finishing material can affect conformity to the fire class. The primer does not affect plywood physical-mechanical properties. Sizes 1220 mm x 2440 / 3050 mm 1250 mm x 2500 / 3000 mm 1500 mm x 2500 / 3000 mm 1525 mm x 2400 / 3050 mm 2500 mm x 1250 mm Cut-to-size panels and machined panels available in accordance with the customers' requirements. Thicknesses 4, 6.5, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 mm.

Riga Ignisafe Birch plywood impregnated with fire retardant. Types Riga Ply (raw plywood), BB/BB, BB/WG or WG/WG Riga Form overlaid on one face with a dark brown phenol film (F I/BB, F I/WG) Fire classes / standards It is possible to impregnate in conformity with: C s1 d0 (C class) according to EN 13501 (application – walls and ceiling) B s1 d0 (B class) according to EN 13501 (normally required in higher risk areas such as escape routes and staircases) M1 class according to French Standard NF F 16101 (requirements for materials with application in railway industry) Application Anywhere where high fire safety is required – mostly in transport and building industry. Riga Ignisafe is normally for interior applications (epoxy, polyurethane and alkyd paints are recommended) In outdoor use the surface must be protected by paint (water-soluble latex paint) Finishing material can significantly affect conformity to the fire class. Painting should be done according to the paint manufacturer's instructions. Riga Ignisafe must not be heated above 100 0C. Advantages Riga Ignisafe significantly slows down fire spread, reduces heat and smoke generation, ensures extra evacuation time, thus saves lives and restricts damage costs Riga Ignisafe can be painted and glued Overlaying Riga Ignisafe is without overlay or is overlaid on one face with a dark brown phenol film. Impregnation Plywood is impregnated with a fire retardant. Impregnation can affect strength parameters; however they will exceed standard minimum requirements. Sizes 1220 mm x 2440 mm 1250 mm x 2500 mm 1220 mm x 3000 mm 1250 mm x 3000 mm Cut to size panels and machining available in accordance with the customers’ requirements. Thickness 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 mm. Other thicknesses available upon requests.
