Metzner has developed a fully automatic processing machine with outstanding cutting quality and great length accuracy for steel cable wires of up to 20 mm diameter. The steel cable wires are fed by a motorised feeding device in combination with a contact-free loop control. Then, program-controlled and positionally accurate marking tapes are applied to the steel cable – with a cycle time of less than two seconds. In addition, a wax printer marks all the fastening and processing points that will be required for subsequent processing. This labelling method is carried out in a continuous process. The cut is then made using a special cutting process. Precise length accuracy is achieved by a special laser measuring system. A material stacker with a storage area of up to 12 metres ensures that the steel cable wires are deposited in an orderly manner. All cut steel rope can be stored and sorted according to length to allow it to be removed at a later point.

The brand-new PPJ system impresses not only with its well-conceived components and size but also with its innovative form. In this system, we have combined our decades of experience in an attractive design. The independent regulation of fluid and spray air pressure achieves excellent results even with higher-viscosity media. Available for up to 6 spray heads and in versions with 1, 3 and 5 litres, this system has a very compact design and therefore takes up extremely little space when installed. The system is suitable for the initial equipment of machines as well as for subsequent installation. The PPJ system can be used with our spray heads (starting on p. 20) and the JOP drip-feed dosing device (p. 30) up to a maximum viscosity of 2300 mm²/s at 20 °C or 500 mm²/s at 40 °C (except for substances containing paint, resin and glue).

Wind velocity indicators are used for detecting and in connection with the appropriate indicator, monitoring a maximum wind velocity. They are used mainly in safety and monitoring systems of cranes and excavators. Two models are available. One with pendulum orientation, especially suited for the attachment on jibs of mobile cranes, and a common one, pedestal mounted or mounted on a vertical post. The output signal, being proportional to the wind velocity is taken either from a built-in tachometer generator in form of a voltage or from an optoelectronic impulse transmitter with frequency-current converter in form of a current signal in two-wire technique. For applications in the temperature range down to minus 50 °C there is optionally available for both models a mounting arrangement for a temperature controlled heating device. Cross arms feed-through sleeve and crown are splash-proof, degree of protection IP 65.

The TransiTec discharge and metering device type DZR is a flat-bottom discharge device which is placed under cylindrical hoppers. The scraper arms provide for the flow of material and the continious feed of the dosing device(s) underneath. The discharge unit DZR can be installed under bag unloading stations as well as under container emptying stations, big bag emptying stations or buffer hopper. This discharge device for poor flowing and bridbuilding bulk materials consists of a cylindrical hopper with welded or boltet flat bottom. The cylindrical hopper ensures that the product flows evenly. An over the flat bottom rotating scraper, driven by geared motor, ensures a constant filling of the underlying dosing device or other aggregate (conveyor, screw, rotary valve, etc.).
