Special processing methods are used to produce what is known as exfoliated graphite or expandable graphite from natural mineral graphite. It has the unique property of abruptly expanding by many times its volume when it is exposed to heat. At Georg H. Luh, we have extensive know-how in this product field and offer the right products for a wide variety of applications with numerous different grades and variants.

We supply patterned plates (tear drop and diamond patterns ) that are produced for creating a non-slip metal surface that are used at fire-escape stairs, walking lines, ramps, machinery, wet floors of ship and shore side premises or vehicle, trucks and lorry’s haulage, stairs, doors of cupboard, and covering of outer facade or floor. Production from 1,50 mm to 16,00 mm thickness from 1000 mm to 1500 mm width is the most common requirements and supply. Expanded Steel Sheets that are from the expansion of hot steel rolls, generally are preferred for places where the weight of the patterned sheets have to be minimized. By their lightweight characteristics, generally are used in ship building industry, walking lines, door or complete generator boxes, partition walls, ceiling coverings, pipe and cable cover system, truck haulages, fences, platforms and military structures.

The FAPI-VU expander discs are an optimal grinding tool for working with all types of sanding sleeves. The expander discs are exclusively provided with a specially slotted coating made of foamed Vulkollan®, which means that the sanding sleeve is tensioned by centrifugal force during the processing process. In practice, the expander discs covered with foamed Vulkollan® (VU) are often simply called “expander discs with foam” or also sanding sleeve carriers.Advantages of expander discs with pararubber coating: - Wear resistance - Oil resistance - Grease resistance - Emulsion resistance We would be pleased to advise you on which expander rolls can be used in your processing, in order to achieve top process results. The expander rollers FAPI-VU-HAND are an optimal grinding tool for working with all types of abrasive sleeves. The expander rollers are exclusively equipped with a specially grooved coating of foamed Vulkollan®, whereby the abrasive sleeve is clamped by the centrifugal force during the machining process. The expander rolls coated with foamed Vulkollan® (VU) are often referred to in practice as “expander rolls with foam” or “abrasive sleeve carriers”. Expanding blind rivets are required when soft or porous components such as wood, hard fiber, fiberglass or plasterboard are to be joined together with a high clamping force. During the setting process the mandrel drops out of the hollow rivet and on the closing head side the mandrel divides the hollow rivet into four parts. These then claw into the material. Typical applications are plastic and wooden element assembly, caravan construction and the fastening of interior trim.
