Application potentials The simple handling enables a manifold application of igubal® spherical bearings. You can use them wherever the self-aligning bearings offer constructive advantages or assist in simplifying the installation. igubal® spherical bearings application examples Tolerances Maintenance-free igubal® spherical bearings have a tolerance in the inner diameter, according to E10. The shaft should have a tolerance between h6 and h9. The bearing clearance compensates for bearing expansions during heating. A precise alignment of the bearing housing is not required as the spherical bearing automatically compensates for error. This combination provides particularly good gliding and wear properties in relative movements. Loads The load carrying capacity of the spherical igubal® thrust bearing is very high in normal ambient temperature. In particular cases the load carrying capacity of the axial bearings should be checked in a practical trial with high constant loads and at higher temperatures. Surface speeds Clip bearings are particularly wear resistant in slow rotating, oscillating and axial motions. A lubrication at installation or continuous lubrication raises the permitted surface speeds. Clip bearings are available from stock in dimensions of 3 to 25 mm. Fixation Triflex RS For mounting, the bearings are laterally pressed together with the large flange. The chamfered slot makes the bearing spiral-shaped, whereby it can be easily inserted in the plate. The remaining slot in the attached clip bearing can compensate for linear expansions of the circumference. Thus narrow bearing clearances are possible with clip bearings. The bearing clearance is dimensioned in such a way that in a housing bore with a nominal diameter, a shaft made with the same nominal diameter turns easily.
