Kaplan turbines are typically used for river power plants on calm waters. The blade angle runner blades (Kaplan blades) is adjustable. The pressure of the water flow, which is controlled by the guide vanes of the upstream wicker gate, can then be efficiently converted into energy. The bidirectional MANOY® system seal WP, type 444, in the form of a continuous ring was developed to protect the hydraulic adjustment device and prevent hydraulic fluid leakage. Solenoid armature and locking bolt are guided separately in maintenance-free bearings. The latch bolt is made of stainless. The microswitch, which is installed directly in the latch housing, signals the respective position of the latch bolt approx. 0.5 mm to 1 mm after leaving the stroke start position or before reaching the stroke end position. The NanoWeld stations provide the ideal platform for the development and production of opto-electronic components, like singleand multi-channel transmitters and receivers. The station works with exchangeable trays and grippers accepting all device housing types and lenses, optical fibers or receptacles to be aligned and attached. Cycle times for the rapid mass production of TOSA type assemblies reach less than 25 seconds while it takes several minutes for complex devices.All components and subassemblies to build the NanoWeld station are of highest quality and performance. Even customized systems start from a common platform which minimizes development time and cost. By using device-specific trays and grippers, the time to change between different batch processes or device types is reduced to the minimum. After sending data it switches automatically to sleep mode which is controlled by a Microchip PIC. The data are sent at preset intervals via HTTP or SMS.
