Terminal boards serve to connect cables and conductors in electric motors and electrical systems. Housed in separate terminal enclosures, they form the interface for the cabling to the outside world. Depending on the field of application, terminal boards from MACK are produced from different moulding compounds. Several bunched single wires or bundles made from Cu-ETP1 and Cu-OF1 in bare, tin-plated, nickel-plated or silver-plated, soft annealed. Single-wire diameter ranging from Ø 0.05 mm to Ø 0.51 mm, left-hand lay or right-hand lay. Cross-section ranging from 0.005 mm² to 630 mm². Those single wires do not hold a fixed position inside the strand. Their position relative to one another undergoes a permanent change along the entire length of the bunch. The construction of a bunch is derived from the cross-section required, which leads to the electrical conductor featuring a certain resistance level. Different cross-sections with the same resistance value can be generated by applying single wires of varying sizes. Owing to their good efficiency our bunched single wires are versatile in a multitude of applications in cables and conductors.

Number of wires used for strands: between 2 and 16 (subject to single-wire diameter). Single wire or multi wire on special bobbins fit for use in braiding machines. The braids manufactured by these machines are used in cables and conductors geared towards electromagnetic shielding or protection against damage as well as serving as a reinforcement.
