The contact wheel FAPI-PUS OPEN is a further development of the dense design. Here the aluminium core is coated alternately with a long and short polyurethane foam lamella. The overall height of the coating is also adaptable to the respective application and is therefore variable (standard: 35 mm). Because of the variant of the open design, the abrasive belt can better cool because the heat from the belt sanding process is better dissipated. Through the precise adaptation of the extremely soft running cushion to the workpiece that shoud be found it is possible to achieve high-performance results when finish grinding. Advantages The contact wheels of the FAPI-PUS – series are coated only with polyurethane foam lamellae. Thickness measuring systems THICK-SCAN behind the ContiRoll® optimizes the process and to reduces the costs while, at the same time, assuring the quality standard. If the gauges are located in the sanding line, the tool life of the sanding belts is enhanced and the quality is assured. The time is long past since panel thickness tolerances have been measured during production by handheld devices. Today, however, such measurement is carried out continuously online. In the majority of plants, quality control is not the rst priority for new investment for online thickness measurement. The current trend is to achieve the enormous potential savings in wood raw material, resin and energy consumption. If the upper tolerance level is exceeded, valuable resources are wasted. The Thickness Gauge prevents such losses. It is robust and reliable.

By way of additionally integrated longitudinal and cross sanding belt units, the VEN BRUSH HYBRID leads to especially perfect surface finishing results. Cross sanding unit Surface quality is optimised by the cross belt with its sanding cushions. Subsequent finish sanding with the wide sanding belt removes short fibres. Even finish sanding of painted/lacquered surfaces is possible with these uniform results. The uniform sanding pressure on edges and surfaces is possible by the use of pressure pieces, which are permanently attached to the sanding lamella. A cross running pressure lamella belt can be used to prevent oscillation marks. The unit positions can be freely equipped according to the requirements of the production process.
