Boards requiring good mechanical properties need the glue mix to be evenly metered and the glue to be applied in the best way possible to the particles or bres. Siempelkamp's integrated metering systems help create precise mixes and accurately meter glues and other chemic ow meters to achieve the best possible metering results. Each unit is completely pre-assembled and to a large exte design means that it is easy to add more metering stations for the glue mix. The APG-process by HÜBERS permits short cycle times thanks to rapid gelation and demoulding with automatic opening and closing of the mould. During the gelling process, fresh material is supplied continuously to the mould under pressure in order to prevent cracks and voids and to compensate for the shrinkage of the material. The mould is held together by the clamping machine. The degassed material is injected into the APG mould directly from the static mixer. Shrinkage compensation is carried out by the HÜBERS metering pumps. One central mixing and metering system can serve several clamping machines. In this case each clamping machine has its own static mixer positioned directly in front of the mould and also has its own shrinkage compensation unit to maintain the pressure. The system is supplied via a ring line which requires no maintenance and is free of sedimentation. In principle the length of this line is insignificant.

Classic glue-blending systems in blowlines reach their limits when special glue systems need to be applied to bres. It is therefore not possible to apply glues that respond sensitively to higher temperatures before the dryer. Chute glue-blending systems constitute the answer to this challenge. This type of glue-blending system is used, for example, in the insulation-material industry

MDF forming lines consist of machines for forming and monitoring the bre mat. Additional devices for quality monitoring complete the function. The plant modules can be adjusted to the respective requirements thus preparing the mat optimally for its compaction in a ContiRoll®.
