The FAPI-VU expander discs are an optimal grinding tool for working with all types of sanding sleeves. The expander discs are exclusively provided with a specially slotted coating made of foamed Vulkollan®, which means that the sanding sleeve is tensioned by centrifugal force during the processing process. In practice, the expander discs covered with foamed Vulkollan® (VU) are often simply called “expander discs with foam” or also sanding sleeve carriers.Advantages of expander discs with pararubber coating: - Wear resistance - Oil resistance - Grease resistance - Emulsion resistance We would be pleased to advise you on which expander rolls can be used in your processing, in order to achieve top process results. The contact disc FAPI-VU MILLED FREQUENCY DAMPED is the further development of the milled version. Grooves with a groove width-groove depth-web width ratio specially developed by us are milled into the contact disc’s foamed Vulkollan® covering. This reduces the noise level to a minimum during the belt grinding process and increases the removal rate to a maximum. The aggressiveness effect of the contact disk can also be optimized for each application using an individually optimized groove width-groove depth-web width ratio for milled, frequency-damped contact disks so that high-performance processes are possible. As with all contact discs in the VU series, there are no signs of fatigue after long, intensive use.The contact discs of the FAPI-VU series are exclusively provided with a coating made of foamed Vulkollan® by its slightly yellowish color. For sophisticated decorative materials Press laminating is mainly used to process materials that are unsuitable for vacuum processes, such as textiles, materials with and without foam backings or non-stretchable cover materials like leather or Alcantara. Processing these materials requires high quality tooling and machinery to ensure the quality of the grain, the soft touch and the color remain intact. The decorative element and the substrate are usually laminated together by being pressed between two hard instruments. Precise decor positioning and tool arrangements ensure optimal laminating conditions. Other forms of laminating include leather laminating and membrane laminating, which combines press laminating, edge folding, trimming.
