Seamless aluminium tubes can be ordered in all commercially available aluminium alloys in addition to high strength aluminium alloys which are required for more demanding applications. ALUnna has a number of extrusion presses equipped with mandrel piercing capability. This allows us to extrude a large range of extruded tubular dimensions from a number of different billet diameters. The size range for seamless extruded tubes ranges from 17 mm to 300 mm in diameter.

Depending on the application, tubes may require subsequent drawing following the extrusion process. Examples of this are: a requirement for a high degree of dimensional control and/or the need for tight tolerances, where the final outside diameter and/or wall thickness of the extruded tubes can only be achieved by subsequent cold drawing, where the final mechanical properties for non-heat treatable alloys are to be achieved by strain hardening (drawing) or where special requirements exist for the microstructure of the tubes.

Aluminiumwerk Unna AG is specialised in the production of Aluminium tubes. The Aluminium tubes are extruded on site using two possible methods. These are either Seamless extrusion or Porthole extrusion. It is quite simple to distinguish between the two extrusion methods. In seamless extrusion, a mandrel is positioned and fixed inside the extrusion die, creating the inner contour of the tube. In porthole extrusion, the mandrel is fixed and is supported by a number of integral bridges affixed to the outer portion of the extrusion die.

In the aluminium industry, the porthole extrusion process is the standard method for the production of extruded tubes and profiles. The process is limited to a number of aluminium alloys. However, most of the commercially available medium strength aluminium alloys such as EN AW-6060 or EN AW-6082 can be extruded by porthole extrusion.

Heat protection tubes are made by layering several kinds of aluminum alloy foil and other materials, such as fiberglass and plastic with corrugations. The excellent reflectivity of the aluminum alloy on the external surface reflects radiant heat, and its insulating power additionally serves to protect the aluminum flexible tube’s content from heat sources. These products have great flexibility but high dimensional stability, and they can be compressed or extended as required. They can also be fastened or mounted easily by crimping the end fittings.

Air flow routing tubes are designed to channel different kinds of air to appropriate destinations. They possess a particularly high crushing strength and have very good insulation properties. Through high flexibility and small bending radii, they offer good space usage, particularly when laying out in corners. Dükerrohr is a twin flexible tube distinguished by a particularly high insulation effectiveness to reduce temperature drops in the warm air ducting. Since it is installed outside of the vehicle, it carries additional protection against water and oil splashes.

CORMIFLEX® tubes are folded spiral-seam pipes made of high-grade steel precision strip. Reaching up to 350°C, their high temperature resistance is predominantly used for exhaust gas routing in passenger car, utility vehicle, RV and marine heating units. CORMIFLEX® PLUS bears additional resistance against corrosion due to salt and other aggressive agents.

The noise levels in pipe and rod raising systems can be very high. A chute lined with secutex pipe modules ensures that noise levels are reduced and that surfaces are protected. The secutex material with inset perforated plates is particularly wearresistant and cushions the movement of pipes and rods very well. The cast sections are attached using drilled attachment holes. Segment sizes and joins are manufactured according to client requests.

Industrial condenser dryer DH 65 SThe compact industrial dehumidifier DH 65 S dries up to 80 liters per day This condenser dryer is an equally powerful and economic dehumidification solution for various dry keeping applications during industrial processes or product storage. In addition to the hot gas automatic defrost system, the DH 65 S comes with an aluminium tube evaporator without fins which permits an effective dehumidification performance even at a low humidity level. Moreover, the modular refinement of the electrical system and the water-bearing components of this industrial dryer was realized according to European standard. Hence, with the DH 65 S you have a particularly economic dehumidifier for reliable permanent drying applications. Owing to its sturdy swivel casters with RollStop catch, this drying unit can easily be transported from one application site to another.

The uniform, high-quality appearance of this triangular stand is ensured by the silver anodised click frames and the silver anodised aluminium round tubes. The simple assembly is done by screwing the 3 click frames to the 3 stable ø 60 mm aluminium legs. In order to effectively protect the inserted posters from rainwater, a circumferential sealing rubber is mounted on the weather-resistant metal rear walls, in addition the cover foil is glued to the rear wall on a short side. The cover foils used are made of non-reflecting, UV-stabilised material to prevent the posters from fading. Furthermore, the anti-reflection coating of the films ensures that the inserts are much easier to read even in sunlight. The posters can be changed quickly by opening the click frame profiles at the front. The highlight of this display is that the complete rear wall with foil can be removed for even easier poster changing.

For transport, the partition wall can be divided in height. The spitting protection wall has a total height of 2000 mm and offers optimal application possibilities, for example at cash registers or service counters. Adjoining workplaces can thus be easily separated from each other, while room brightness and atmosphere are only slightly affected. Documents or goods can be pushed through under the separating pane.

Four new models for even more flexibility The product family of aluminium Solid Clamp tube connectors has a new addition: size 30 base clamps, sleeve clamps and hinge clamps are now also available for delivery with integrated ball joint. A sleeve clamp with double ball also adds to the range. The ball joints are designed for loads of up to 40 Nm (static). Connected applications can be pivoted freely by 60° and rotated freely by 360°. This way, the new tube connectors with ball joint provide a significantly higher degree of freedom for construction than conventional hinged connectors. An appropriate surface coating on the ball joint makes for a high-strength clamping connection. The clamps feature a universal connecting plate for flexible integration. The wide range of product portfolio of coils with different tube diameters, tube patterns, fin profiles, materials and options allows us to customize our coils for any specific application and fluids: air heaters, air coolers, condensers and evaporators for HVAC and various industrial applications. Kelvion heat exchanger coils are manufactured with copper tubes and aluminum or copper fins. The fins are equipped with special profiles developed at our R&D department enhancing heat transfer and keeping pressure drop at a moderate level. The customized fin spacing is achieved by collars which also provide the contact between the fin block and the tubes. Mechanical expansion of the tubes guarantees a perfect bond between the fins and the tubes leading to maximum heat transfer between both fluids.
