The extremely space-saving design of our screen changer allows a lot of creative freedom, both with new machines and in the case of retrofitting, since the structure of the extruder platform only needs to be adjusted a little. The screen changer is installed instead of a connection piece and can be equipped with a hydraulic or electric drive. The simplest way, however, is to use a cordless screwdriver, which makes changing bits a quick and easy endeavor. Screen changers are available for all common throughputs.

The APG-process by HÜBERS permits short cycle times thanks to rapid gelation and demoulding with automatic opening and closing of the mould. During the gelling process, fresh material is supplied continuously to the mould under pressure in order to prevent cracks and voids and to compensate for the shrinkage of the material. The mould is held together by the clamping machine. The degassed material is injected into the APG mould directly from the static mixer. Shrinkage compensation is carried out by the HÜBERS metering pumps. One central mixing and metering system can serve several clamping machines. In this case each clamping machine has its own static mixer positioned directly in front of the mould and also has its own shrinkage compensation unit to maintain the pressure. The system is supplied via a ring line which requires no maintenance and is free of sedimentation. In principle the length of this line is insignificant.

The DAIL fulfils the requirements of EN 1114-1 for overpressure protection of extrusion lines and offers maximum comfort of operation. The auto-zero function enables calibration directly on the device or from the observation point/controller. On the output side, the melt pressure transmitter provides a switch output in addition to the analog signal which enables switching off the machine in case of overpressure according to EN 13849-1, PL=c.

The extensive power spectrum of this solid production series in combination with the standard equipment coordinated optimally sets new standards in cleaning technology. The solid interpretation of the machine components connected with the modern design of the easy-care machine case completes the innovative machine concept. The first examples of which were built by CMC TEXPAN in the early 1990s.They are aimed at cleaning the material ow fed into the machine byremoving any possible contaminants, the density of which is higher than that of the processed wood chips, e.g. stones, sand, metals, rubber, coarser chipsetc.The principle of operation is based on densimetric separation chieved in a vibratory box. In addition to the vibration of the machine casing, the materialow is subjected to a strong, pulsating air ow, enhancing the separationeect and providing for further “dry leaning” of chips. Heavy contaminants (e.g. stones, glass, rubber and plastic) are removed from the material ow,discharged from the machine side and conveyed to further re-classication,while clean chips are discharged from the machine’s front end.
