Capacitive proximity switches are contact-free sensors. They detect metallic and non-metallic objects, regardless of whether they move or not. The achievable sensing range of the devices depends on the object material, its dimensions and the response sensitivity, which is set via a potentiometer. The vibration-resistant sensors can be approached laterally or frontally. Capacitive proximity switches are used for presence detection (e.g. sealing detection), positioning (e.g. PET bottles), counting (e.g. plastic caps), level detection (e.g. lubricant) or distance measurements (e.g. thickness measurement) of solid and liquid materials.

Ultrasonic sensors are non-contact and wear-free position switches which can also be used under rough environmental conditions. A key advantage of these devices lies in the fact that the material and the surface characteristics of the objects to be detected can be almost anything. Solids, liquids, grainy materials and powdery materials can be identified without the shape or the color of the object having any influence to the measured result. In addition, the ability to detect transparent materials such as films and fluids is of particular importance. The shape and color of the objects do not influence the result of the detection. The capability to detect transparent films or liquids is also of special importance. Ultrasonic sensors are used for distance measurement (e.g. detection of diameters, loop control), for fill level detection (e.g. silo detection), for positioning and presence detection (e.g. glass pane positioning, film tear check, glass bottle detection)

Leveling set 12201 is a professional height correction for floor tanks. The leveling set consists of sendzimir galvanized sheet steel. It was developed for the 89 series and can be used for the models 8901 to 8908.

The BM26A-1000 is a magnetic level indicator (MLI) for basic liquid applications. The cost-effective level indicator is particularly suitable for continuous level measurement in water storage tanks, condensate receiver tanks as well as wash and surge tanks for fuels, lubricates, additives or similar chemicals. The level indicator features a rugged metallic design with the magnetic flaps housed in an IP68 rated, hermetically sealed glass tube. It provides a highly visible local level indication. There is absolutely no power supply needed. However, in applications with more advanced signal output requirements, the MLI can be easily equipped with optional reed switches or a reed-chain level transmitter providing analogue or digital output signals.

The leveling set 12202 is a professional height correction for the floor box 8912B. The leveling set is made of sendzimir galvanized sheet steel.

Aluminum leveling ring 12251 for floor socket 7702A and 7704A for use in wooden floors or raised access floors. The leveling ring is attached to the floor socket with screws and screwed onto the floor from below. The delivery takes place with grub screws, but without illustrated fastening screws and illustrated floor socket.

A perfect combination of space savings and dynamics: the GSW Compact Feed Lines Our Compact Feed Lines are an ideal answer to the challenge of a constraint floor and necessity to process thick materials. Marrying the processes of leveling and indexing into one Feeder-Straightener machine allows for a complete Feed Line with only two individual machines and thus greatly reduces the necessary length. Additionally, the decoupling of the coil mass from the indexing process – achieved through a short loop between Coil Reel and Feeder-Straightener – enables dynamic feeding despite the compact footprint. And, if cross-sections are especially big, the loop can be spared completely, creating yet more space. One more advantage, virtually a by-product out of their very nature, is the quicker set-up of our Compact Feed Lines. This elevates them to not only space- but also time-savers!

With Conventional Feed Lines, the focus lies on speed and material surface. That’s why Conventional Feed Lines are equipped with a Coil Reel for pull-off, a Straightener with variable frequency drive a coil loop and a Servo Roll Feed: the loop uncouples the more inert straightening process from the highly dynamic indexing process and thus allows for high line speeds and preservation of the material surface. Since productivity and capacity demands can vary significantly, we have created different control concepts: while small Feed Lines work with a simple pneumatic drag brake at the Coil Reel and an ultrasonic sensor to control the Straightener speed, the large Feed Lines get fully synchronized controls with motor-limited Coil Reels and a smart loop, creating a steady average speed of the whole line. This allows smooth pull-off of high coil weights while the loop remains very calm – in addition, the Servo Roll Feed can work with full dynamics, even at long indexing progressions.

Radar (FMCW) level transmitter for liquids with hygienic requirements The OPTIWAVE 3500 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for liquids in hygienic applications. It is designed for continuous, non-contact level measurement in the food and beverage as well as pharmaceutical industry. The device features a flush-mounted PEEK Lens antenna with a small beam angle and dead zone for precise measurement even in small and narrow tanks with agitators. It is equally suited for use on larger tanks up to measuring distances of 50 m / 164 ft. As the radar withstands process temperatures up to +150°C \ +302°F and pressures up to 25 barg / 362 psig, it can be used in CIP/SIP cleaning procedures. Radar (FMCW) level transmitter for powders and dusty atmospheres The OPTIWAVE 6500 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for demanding applications with powders in very dusty atmospheres. With its small beam angle, this radar is particularly suited for continuous, non-contact level measurement in high and narrow silos, hoppers or buffer storage containers up to 100 m / 328 ft. Due to the high signal dynamics of the FMCW radar, the level transmitter is ideal for low-reflective media, dust, uneven surfaces or tanks with obstacles.
