The traversable straddle gauges are used for offline measurement. They are placed onto the roll and moved manually, thereby measuring the form of the rolls from crown edge to crown edge. They are characterised by a high measurement point density of 1 mm and a high repetition accuracy of ± 2 µm. With the evaluation software optimised over decades together with our customers for this application, curves can be pivoted and superimposed, centered and smoothed. The scope of supply also includes a panel PC.

The gauges from the VSL Series measure the form, diameter, roundness and eccentricity of the rolls during the grinding process with very high precision. Form, radial run-out and eccentricity are measures with a precision of ± 1 µm. If an interface is available, they communicate online with the controller of the roll grinding machine and thus enable even more cost-effective use of the grinding machine. With the appropriate configuration, they measure the height and lateral alignment of the roll in the grinding machine before grinding, often enabling the set-up time to be significantly reduced. Vollmer produces the automatic roll measuring gauges for both bench-mounted machines where the roll is moved along the grinding wheel and for support machines where the grinding wheel is moved along the rotating roll. The T610 is a handheld measuring instrument from the Trotec MultiMeasure family, used for quick non-destructive moisture measurement up to 300 mm. Another advantage of the process, aside from the measuring depth, is its independence from the level of salt content in the material. This creates no dissimilarity to the microwave technique, whether it is an older or a new building being gauged. Since the unit’s screen can show two values, for purposes of results evaluation, a function value can be indicated at the same time as the present measured value, if needed. The Trotec PC200 Particle Counter features 6 measuring channels (0.3, 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 μm) with three counting modes (concentration, cumulative and differential) and counting efficiency of 50% at 0.3 μm and 100% for particles beyond 0.45 μm. The internal pump allows flow rate of 2.83 l/min (0.1 ft³/min) and the zero count is < 1 particles / 5 min with a coincidence loss of 5%, 2 million particles per ft³ (28.3 liters). The Laser class 3B with wave length of 780 nm and 90 mW is used as a light source while isokinetic probes serve as sample inlet. The device can be used to easily acquire readings on air temperature, humidity, dew point temperature and wet-bulb temperature.

The PD200 is a professional impulse current measuring system to detect leak (holes) in non-conductive sealing systems and is suitable for leak detection on balconie, pond liners/swimming pools or flat roofs. In contrast to the previous model PD100, the PD200 has extremely compact dimensions - the size of the device could be reduced by more than 30%! These compact dimensions enable the transport of the PD200 e.g. through so-called safety ladders to the corresponding flat roof.The impulse current measuring system easily wins the weight comparison with its previous model. Although the single components partially are pretty heavy (e.g. the transformer), the total weight could be reduced by about 20% (from 11.2 kg to 8.6 kg).
