Our best-in-class joining solutions, like Self-Pierce Riveting (SPR) and remote laser welding, ensure the strongest possible adhesive joining and bond durability.

At our Innovation Lab, we develop entirely new processes when the desired results cannot be achieved with standard solutions. Our customers can practically watch over our shoulder and participate in the process to the extent they choose. The results are then put to the test in the adjacent Technical Centre. Sometimes this opens up whole new business areas for our customers. Getting more than they bargained for – that’s one more thing our customers appreciate.

Two current examples of Dressler Group innovations: Spherical Powder Technology (SPT) and the development of integrated processes. SPT is a process that allows powders to be made out of high-performance polymers that cannot otherwise be pulverised. This opens up completely new kinds of applications, using processes such as 3D printing/additive manufacturing, that were equally impossible before. Meanwhile, integrated processes allow grinding, sieving and dust removal to be carried out in a single operation rather than separate steps, thus saving energy and time.

Novelis continues to accelerate the development of its innovative aluminum transportation materials to expand global product offerings for more sustainable buses, trucks, trailers, trains and other forms of commercial transport. Aluminum-intensive vehicles are not only up to 40 percent lighter than those made with steel, they are also safer and more durable. Given their unique properties, aluminum transportation materials continue to emerge as the material of choice for the industry. Manufacturers rely on aluminum’s many benefits, including diverse application development for electric vehicles and emerging mobility demands, superior energy absorption for crash management products and safety, and greater design flexibility due to strength, joining and formability properties, enabling better driving dynamics and vehicle agility.

MicroControl now offers a software package with versatile additional benefits – the new CANpie FD Server. All kinds of system conditions can be simulated before the final set-up of the system and cost-intensive “surprises” are avoided. The CANpie FD Server opens new dimensions. This feature is included in the software package without any additional costs.
