When combined with the appropriate gearbox, drylin® linear axes with the new BLDC motors achieve higher speed and greater torque. Energy is used more efficiently, as a result of which EC/BLDC motors are more durable and have a longer service life. Due to the fact that carbon brushes are not used, brushless motors are almost completely wear-resistant, generate less heat and enable longer, uninterrupted operation. Temperature control of gaseous and liquid media Flat tube heat exchangers are generally used as air / air or air / liquid heat exchangers. Flat tube heat exchangers are used where the (exhaust) air is polluted and the installation space is limited. In heat recovery in particular, there are numerous applications for flat tube heat exchangers as so-called exhaust gas / exhaust air heat exchangers. Little installation space and less pressure loss While the rows of tubes in smooth tube heat exchangers consist of round tubes, the rows of tubes in flat tube heat exchangers have a special profile (see illustration). This special tube profile offers advantages over the round profile in certain applications. Flat tube heat exchangers require less installation space than smooth tube heat exchangers with the same exchange area and are therefore also lighter.

Heat recovery with the help of heat exchangers In industry, waste heat occurs at many points in the production process, which is often released into the environment without being used. In many cases, energy is even used to cool the waste heat flows from production so that they can be released into the environment. Heat exchangers (also called heat exchangers) are used for heat recovery so that the waste heat generated in the production process can be used again in the company. Gaseous or liquid media Waste heat can be in the form of gaseous media (e.g. warm exhaust air, steam, exhaust gases, etc.) or in the form of liquid media (e.g. hot water or other liquids). With the help of heat exchangers, the waste heat can be recovered from both gaseous and liquid media and then made available to the production process at a suitable point as energy in gaseous or liquid media. This process is known as energy recovery or also as heat recovery.

The contact wheel FAPI-VUS/KS is a version coated with lamellae of foamed up Vulkollan® and plastic foam lamellae. The overall height of the coating must also be selected based on the respective application. The alternating lamellae of foamed up Vulkollan® and plastic foam lamellae make the contact wheel especially soft and adaptable. In practice, this contact wheel is used mainly for the finishing of lightly cambered or rounded workpieces. The different material densities result in the heat generated during grinding being drawn off very effectively. With the contact wheel FAPI-PUS DENSE, the aluminium hub is coated with dense adjoining polyurethane foam lamellae. The height of the coating resp. the length of the polyurethane foam lamellae can be varied depending on the application (standard: 20 and 35 mm). The polyurethane foam lamellae provide the contact wheel with a “running cushion” with which a fine finish is possible especially when working on (strongly) cambered and profiled parts. The coating adapts to every workpiece to be found. In addition, the contact wheel FAPI-PUS dense contributes in large measure to abrasive belt cooling because the spaces between the lamellae dissipate the heat generated during belt grinding. The function of the flow sensor is based on the calorimetric principle. The probe is heated up from the inside a few degrees Celsius in relation to the flow medium, in which it protrudes. When the medium flows, the heat generated in the probe is dissipated through the medium. The temperature within the sensor is measured and compared with the likewise measured medium temperature. From the obtained temperature difference the flow state of each medium can be derived. These sensors are applied in areas such as monitoring of cooling systems, ventilation systems, pump dry running by checking the presence of liquid or gas flows.
