MediorNet offers Link Cards with and without integrated CWDM multiplexing to network MediorNet mainframes with a bandwidth of up to 76.5 Gbit/s on a single fiber link. MediorNet‘s standard fiber transceivers have an optical budget of 18 dB minimum, allowing for distances of up to 40 km (25 miles). A MediorNet fiber link always consists of duplex fiber to allow bi-directional signal transport. MediorNet CWDM Link Cards can also include external optical signals and transport them transparently through the system. All MediorNet Link Cards provide signal monitoring and link status information, which can be monitored via status LEDs and system wide via the MediorWorks software and SNMP network management systems.

MediorNet Modular allows the customers to configure the mainframe to their requirements. The frame can be filled with various Media and Link cards, as needed for the specific application. All modules and cards are hot swappable. Redundant power supplies guarantee maximum reliability. The optimized cooling concept of MediorNet results in a very low-noise system. The horizontal air ow within the device allows for effective cooling without the need for additional rack space below or above the MediorNet mainframe. MediorNet frames can be rack mounted in various positions, e.g. with all connectors on the front or on the rear side, or recessed to allow cabling from the front but without connectors or cables exceeding the rack’s dimensions. The IEC connectors can be located front or rear independent from the other cabling.

It is the first fiber-based 21st-century stage box providing the flexibility of a true real-time media network including integrated signal processing at the cost of simple multiplexing point-to-point products. With a network bandwidth of 50 Gbit/s MediorNet Compact provides enough capacity for bi-directional transport of 12 HD-SDI signal, dozens of MADI streams or Gbit-Ethernet signals and hundreds of audio channels or intercom ports – ideal for streamlining the infrastructure of any mobile, studio or live event application.

MediorNet Mainframes can be easily configured with the input and output cards needed for a specific installation. All Media Cards support multiple video standards and on-board signal processing and conversion, reducing the number of individual cards to a minimum. These signal standards and processing features can be updated via software, securing the hardware investment for future development.

In addition to its fiber-based real-time network solution MediorNet, Riedel offers a range of accessories solving everyday issues in fiber installations. The Riedel Smart Rack solution offers a flexible, versatile and easy-to-use solution. The Smart Rack Suite consists of WDM and CWDM Multiplexers and De-Multiplexers as well as RF over fiber converters and patch modules.

The intuitive configuration, control, and monitoring software MediorWorks can be downloaded from any MediorNet mainframe via the Configuration Port of the Processing Card. This way you always have access to the correct software version of a specific installation. The software is a JavaTM based application, allowing any computer with a JavaTM Runtime environment such as Windows, Mac OS X or Linux to serve as the host for the application. MediorWorks auto senses the configuration and status of the system it is connected to. Five windows give easy access to any aspect of the MediorNet installation. Heat recovery with the help of heat exchangers In industry, waste heat occurs at many points in the production process, which is often released into the environment without being used. In many cases, energy is even used to cool the waste heat flows from production so that they can be released into the environment. Heat exchangers (also called heat exchangers) are used for heat recovery so that the waste heat generated in the production process can be used again in the company. Gaseous or liquid media Waste heat can be in the form of gaseous media (e.g. warm exhaust air, steam, exhaust gases, etc.) or in the form of liquid media (e.g. hot water or other liquids). With the help of heat exchangers, the waste heat can be recovered from both gaseous and liquid media and then made available to the production process at a suitable point as energy in gaseous or liquid media. This process is known as energy recovery or also as heat recovery.

WIWOX® EK White fused alumina blasting abrasives are used in many areas due to their extreme purity and hardness. Plastic is a thermoplastic and belongs to the organic polyamidebased blasting abrasives. WIWOX® KS nature high-quality blasting and deburring medium is particularly suitable to treat duroplast and rubber components without damaging and matting them. Available in cylindrical or exact cubic shape, it is characterised by high impact strength, dimensional stability and extremely long service life. We also supply an antistatic agent for subsequent or sustained application in liquid form.

Plastic blasting abrasives type WIWOX® KS have been specially developed for optimum, chemically neutral surface treatment and all gentle cleaning – especially for plastic and light metal. They are mainly used for paint stripping, roughening, matting, deburring and cleaning. Plastic blasting abrasives produce consistently high quality and do not cause any damage to the work piece to be treated.

WIWOX® SD rounded cut wire shot is mainly used for cleanblasting and shot peening. Depending on the quality of the raw material used, different hardness classes are obtained. We supply non-corrosive cut wire shot that meet the requirement of particularly high demands. Cylindrical cut wire shot blasting abrasives are cut from wire. The length of the grain is equal to the diameter. Grain shapes of different roundness are produced through the subsequent rounding of the cylindrical raw material, rounded from G1 – G3. Cut wire shot has a particularly long service life and are known for low dust generation.

Due to the different thermal tempering, steel shot blasting abrasives type WIWOX® SK obtain different hardness classes from 40 – 43 HRC, 54 – 60 HRC up to greater than 61 HRC. Because of the different degrees of hardness, the steel shot in the operating mixture keeps its angular shape or becomes round during the application process.

Due to its extreme hardness, WIWOX® SG high-carbon cast steel abrasive reaches an extremely high blasting intensity right from the start. It is produced in a melting process and gets its round shape through the subsequent atomising process. The metallic structure of this low-carbon cast steel abrasive is decisive for its long service life.

WIWOX® EDK Stainless steel blasting abrasives are produced in a melting process and crushed into angular granules. It is distinguished by its long service life as well as its aggressiveness and presents an economic alternative to other angular blasting abrasives.

WIWOX® ED Stainless steel blasting abrasives are produced in a melting process and get its round shape through the subsequent atomising process. These fine particles have a particularly long service life and are known for low dust generation. We also supply stainless steel blasting abrasives manufactured under vacuum that meet the requirement of particularly high demands. This blasting abrasive is distinguished by its lustre, purity and roundness.

WIWOX® GB Glass granules type are carefully crushed in a special grinding process to give it its predominantly angular cubic shape. In the production of glass granules, soda-lime glass is crushed and sifted according to individual grain sizes. Glass granules are an iron-free, mineral blasting medium.

Garnet sand type WIWOX® WÜ belongs to the group of garnet stones. The grains are unbroken with irregular shapes. Its unique composition makes the garnet sand tough and hard and particularly suitable for blasting applications in the open. With its the low quartz content (< 0,5 %), it complies with occupational health and safety regulations. Its countries of origin are India and Australia.

The extreme hardness and angular yet sharp-edged properties is typical of black silicon carbide type WIWOX® SI. It is particularly suitable to machine hardened steel and ceramics. It consists of crystalline silicon carbide, which is produced from silica sand and petroleum coke in electric resistance furnaces at temperatures of > 2.300° C. Silicon carbide is iron-free, angular and extremely hard.

Mixed alumina type WIWOX® RK has a low ferrite content and is particularly suitable for applications where a high consumption of blasting abrasives cannot be avoided. Mixed Alumina is produced from ceramic grinding wheels and reclaimed alumina dust from the blasting and grinding industry. It consists of a mixture of white, pink and brown alumina, and is an iron-free alternative for many sectors of the blasting and grinding industry.

Zirconium oxide-based ceramic beads type WIWOX® KM specially developed for shot peening and surface finishing. The high fracture toughness and surface smoothness of the ceramic beads allow the production of extremely smooth surfaces.

WIWOX PeenPearl® are the new mineral abrasives with the perfect spherical shape. It consists of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) in combination with a high content of titanium dioxide (TiO₂). Its texture is exceptionally dense and resistant to breakage. Other mineral blasting material, such as glass-beads are indirection lifetime exceeded many times over. According low is the dust in a blasting room as well as the volume of waste for disposal. WIWOX PeenPearl® produces extremely smooth, shiny surfaces, ideal for the visual appearance of high-quality components.
