When it comes to creating the caps and closures our customers want, Novelis aluminum sheet and coil provide two distinct benefits – shape and appearance. Since aluminum packaging is strong but easily shaped, Novelis is able to produce innovative, customized shapes for caps and closures, as well as threading to make the aluminum containers resealable. These products can also be treated with a range of advanced decorative technologies including lithography, hot-foil and positive and negative embossing.

Novelis Fusion™ 6HF – s200 is a heat treatable product for applications with extremely demanding formability requirements. This product is recommended for inner applications such as decklid and door inners and other closure inner panels. This product has an excellent balance of properties for forming and strength. In addition, it offers a unique advantage in the hemming process enabling sharp feature lines and rope hem designs that permit the reduction in perceived gap between adjacent panels. Novelis Advanz™ 6F – e170 is a heat treatable product developed for automotive skin sheet applications. This product is characterized by excellent formability and excellent hemming behavior. Novelis Advanz™ 6F – e170 is predominantly used for critical exterior closure panels, but may also be used for demanding inner applications. Typical areas of application are hood outers, door outers, fenders, deck lids and critical inners. This product offers best in class forming behavior during press forming and exhibits significantly improved hemming properties over standard outer sheet. All values listed are typical.
