CONSTAB CON-Xtend 21 is used to produce articles for industrial packaging and food packaging. With CONSTAB CON-Batch 30X, films can be produced denser and firmer - the layer thickness, on the other hand, can be reduced by approx. 25 %, the heating power by approx. 20 %. CONSTAB CON-Batch 30X masterbatch is used, for example, in the production of thermoformable sheets and enables the overall thickness of the sheet to be reduced by up to 30% while maintaining its mechanical integrity. It improves the mechanical and optical properties of the final product. In addition, the masterbatch serves as a processing aid in extrusion applications, enabling higher production speeds and a wider processing window, while reducing energy consumption. CON-Batch 30X can be easily used in monofilms and thus recycled. CON-Batch 30X can be supplied with a certificate confirming CO₂-neutrality.

In addition to common applications such as shrink BOPP tobacco films, CONSTAB Modifier masterbatches can also be used for other applications. They provide a whole range of benefits - from labels to transparent food packaging. For example, they contribute to improved mechanical and optical properties, create an increased gas barrier or better processability.

CONSTAB offers a wide range of masterbatches with which you can provide your BOPP films with the required or desired properties. There is a wide range of properties with which BOPP films can be provided for individual use. Ecocell® is a patented, endothermic chemical foaming agent (CFA) masterbatch that helps improve multiple plastic requirements simultaneously. Our masterbatches are designed to optimize the properties of end products for specific applications. The use of Ecocell® significantly reduces material consumption. In addition, mechanical properties of the products can be optimized. Furthermore, cooling times are shortened, performance is increased and energy costs are reduced.

ALWA acryl sealer is used to seal porous surfaces, such as wood, gypsum and rigid foams (not suitable for polystyrene foam). The primer dries in the air and forms a strong film. Apply a thin layer of ALWA acryl sealer evenly with a brush. If 3 % hardener powder is added, the curing process can be reduced to approx. 30 min.

ALWA plasticine is used to repair master patterns, round off sharp edges, seal casting boxes and build a parting plane.

ALWA PU foam consists of component A (art. no. 9700005) and component B (art. no. 9701006) and is used, for instance, to produce displacers. The mixing ratio between component A and component B is 1 : 1.2 and the density is approx. 30 kg/m³.

ALWA repair filler (art. no. 5100001) is used in order to repair casting resin moulds. The filler is mixed with 1 – 3 % hardener powder.

The solvent combination contains methyl methacrylate (MMA) and is used for diluting and cleaning.

The importance of additives. Behind the Color Masterbatch, additives are often regarded as “colorless” companion. However, their significance is far more substantial. Silicone rubber ALWA SIL SH 22 and SH 33 are silicone impression materials. These materials have extremely high mechanical values. In addition, they are very fast to handle and very easy to handle as well. The two-component silicone rubbers cure at room temperature. After mixing the two components, a low viscosity liquid develops, which crosslinks to a resistant and rubber elastic material. During the crosslinking, no exothermic heat is developed. When 1 – 3 % thixotropic agent is added per component, a spreadable mixture is obtained. Labelling systems can be integrated, whether it is laser, needle or inkjet, to mark and identify the tubes. Other options that can be integrated are welding seam detection, length control or measurement of processed tubes. The corresponding sensor and camera technology can be implemented for the specific product. The following step can be carried out without any problems, whether it is cutting, punching, deburring of holes or seal testing with external systems.
