The Easyslide is a system of cold drawn steel linear rails with induction hardened raceways. The linear guides consists of an external 'C' profile linear rail and incorporated caged ball bearings. Standard Ball Cages Type LBK The belt cage is segmented in the required length and supplied ready for installation with balls. The number of segments depends on the bearing diameter and the ball size. The band cage can also be purchased in one piece for special applications. Special Cages Special cages in the form of ribbon or comb cages are available for special requirements with regard to environmental influences or the installation space. Special solutions such as complete corrosion protection or radiation resistance are also possible. Franke also offers cages made from materials such as plastic, stainless steel, brass and Teflon.

Franke slim bearings of the type LSA convince by their smooth running, extremely compact installation space, simple mounting and favourable price. Slim bearings of type LSA consist of an inner and outer race with hardened and profiled raceways and a plastic cage with retained balls. The rolling elements rest against the raceways at two points each, thus maintaining the 4-point system. The raceways are split and can therefore be changed elastically in diameter for installation.

The spindle extension SamSpindle, has been specially designed for the extension of lathe spindles. Together with the bar feeder Multi 3000 it forms a safe, clean and efficient solution. The SamSpindle operates oil and air free. There is no mechanical connection to the lathe. Only a minimum of moving parts and masses. These are: the rotating bar, the guide rings and the inner cage of the ball bearings. The guide rings mounted in the roller bearings keep the bars in the centre of the SamSpindle cartridge. Thanks to this technique, round or test bars can be rotated at high speed, ensuring remarkably smooth running. You can turn drawn, round or profile bars, with correct straightness, at the maximum spindle speed of the lathe. This allows us to guarantee workpieces with high precision. The SamSpindle spindle extension offers maximum safety. It does not allow access to parts in motion. The moving parts are all enclosed in the SamSpindle cartridge, which is closed by a safety nut.

Our all-ceramic bearings are characterised by their high corrosion resistance to seawater and various chemicals. They are therefore used, for example, in the chemical industry, in the food and beverage industry, in shipping and in chlorine systems. We can manufacture our full ceramic ball bearings with rings and balls made of zirconium oxide (ZrO2) or silicon nitride (Si3N4), depending on the application. They are available with full balls or with cages made of PEEK or PTFE. The runout accuracies common with precision steel bearings cannot be achieved with all-ceramic bearings, so speed values have to be reduced. Ceramic materials are harder than steel, but also more brittle. Silicon nitride in particular has a low elongation at break and tends to break under tensile stress without prior plastic deformation. We take this into account when selecting the optimum bearing solution for your specific requirements.
