This fully automatic labeling line is suitable for reliably applying self-adhesive labels to various products such as envelopes, catalogues, magazines, etc. The machine is equipped with a completely overhauled rotary feeder from CMC, which we installed as a self-sufficient unit with a new vacuum pump and motor in a stable frame made of aluminum profiles. We then paired them up with a new vacuum table with electric height adjustment and an "Alpha Compact" labeler from BLUHM/WEBER mounted on it. Together with a new machine control system these modules can be assembled into a fully automatic labeling line with which our customer can process products up to 43 cm in length at high speeds (up to 70 m/min). A clamping ring machine is a system for the automatic production of clamping rings. Schmale Maschinenbau Gmbh is one of the leading manufacturers of clamping ring machines in Europe. On our clamping ring machines, the strip material is profiled, bent and cut. Automatically closures are supplied and welded. The finished clamping ring is calibrated and stored. Via a servo-electric transfer, all processing stations are connected to each other and operated simultaneously. Thus, cycle rates of up to 28 clamping rings per minute can be realized.

The surfaceCONTROL 3D 2500 snapshot sensor is used in 3D measurements for geometry, shape and surface inspection on diffuse reflecting surfaces. The sensor can be used in both automated in-line and at-line inspections as well as in the metrology room. The fringe light projection allows direct 3D measurement. The sensor is characterized by its large measuring field as well as a high measuring range depth of up to 300 mm with a repeatability of up to 3.0 µm. The captured images are transferred to the external controller where they are processed into 3D data. Three models cover different measuring fields.

With the ever increasing automation of assembly lines, users are finding that values for absolute linearity are steadily gaining importance. Unlike independent linearity, for absolute linearity the reference slope is fully defined (Fig. 8) so that there is no need for subsequent system trimming. The definition of an index point establishes a relationship between the mechanical input value (travel or angle) and the output voltage. Potentiometers whose linearity is defined by these criteria can be installed without a need for subsequent adjustment. As with independent linearity, it is best to determine the absolute linearity of a potentiometer by comparing its output with that of a master potentiometer. The special Metzner development is a fully automatic machinery consisting of a contact-free loop control, an automatic cutting machine and a crushing station with storage system. It can produce polystyrene pipettes with diameters from 4 to 25 mm and lengths from 100 to 700 mm. The extruded material is first scored with the aid of several rotary cutting heads, then broken and finally deposited in collecting containers. The cycle time for four parts is only 1.5 seconds. For the production of short lengths (up to 120 mm), the cycle time is extended to approximately three seconds.

Metzner offers low-cost individual stations in the field of e‑mobility for the entry into high-voltage cable processing. For the first time, the EM 101 module offers a solution for removing the cable foil without affecting the cable shield. The automatic processing of high-voltage cable wires also necessitates the connection of various components of the connector system. The Metzner EM 102 takes care of this. The EM 103 allows the cable shield to be opened and cut using a patented process which ensures that there is absolutely no contact with the inner insulation. The EM 103S offers the functionality of the proven EM 103 to meet the requirements of smaller cable wires of up to 8 mm diameter.
