The analogue signal is proportional to the approximation of the metal part. This sensor is also available in a version up to 160° C. The proximity sensor is based on the proven inductive principle: When metallic objects come close, the resonant circuit of a coil is dampened through induction and an analogue signal generated from it. Analogue inductive are e.g. suitable for the double occupation control of metal plates, for the tensioning control of wire or for monitoring metallic brake pads.

EGE amplifiers process the signals of the EGE filling level sensors for extreme temperatures at a safe distance and are used to set up the sensor via intuitive operation using potentiometer and LED strip. Amplifiers for EGE high temperature limit switches feature an auto-calibration of the switching point at the press of a button. This involves a play-free electronic switching cam encoder (abbreviated to: NOCA) with a maximum of four galvanically separated switching outputs (cams), which can be set by the customer and which are activated or deactivated depending on the relevant position of the drive shaft. A parameterisable multiturn absolute encoder with analogue interface plus the switching cam encoder printed circuit board with separate controller are integrated into the compact housing. The analogue signal and switching outputs can be parameterised separately using multifunction pins (MFP and PRE) in the connector.
