Knight Optical can offer Gas Cells for use within the Chemical Analysis. We supply a range of Gas Cells for a range of applications. All individually QA checked and metrology tested for quality to ensure parts meet customer specification. Supplied in a range of sizes and shapes with custom coatings tailored to meet your individual applications. Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers within the chemical analysis industry. Gas cells are used in spectroscopy for identification of the contents of gases. The path length and window material are chosen for analysis of different concentrations and types of gas. Depending on the types of gases being analysed, the windows in a gas cell can be made from NaCl, KBr, CaF2, BaF2, or ZnSe and will be chosen depending on bandwidth, to meet the customer’s application. All our Gas Cells are fully inspected on their quality in our ISO 9001 certified, state-of-the-art Metrology laboratory

With the development of CHARM®, Open Grid Europe is providing an efficient leakage control method for natural gas pipeline networks and thus an alternative to the labour intensive practice of conducting on-site inspections of the pipelines with gas detection devices. CHARM® is a highly accurate infrared laser system integrated in a helicopter that is capable of precisely detecting even very low methane concentrations from the air. Even in the case of very complex pipeline topologies, the course of the pipeline can be detected consistently on a large scale during the flight by an automatic, highly precise scanning beam control system (autotracking), thus ensuring a reliable leak tightness inspection of the natural gas pipeline.

If you live in rented accommodation, your landlord has legal responsibilities when it comes to gas safety. Landlords have legal duties for gas safety. These are that gas pipework, gas appliances and chimneys/flues are maintained in a safe condition. Gas appliances provided for your use must be checked annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Moorland Heating Limited engineers are all Gas Safe registered. We carry out work for many private landlords and rental agencies. We can also offer a Legionella Risk Assessment if required.
