Various requirements are imposed on modern device connection technology today. The main issues are progress in miniaturisation in engine and machine design as well as applications with increased power requirements. Safe data transmission must always be guaranteed, even in harsh environmental conditions. For connection on the device side, CONEC offers a broad range of unit side connectors. Fields of application are, amongst others: distribution cabinets, engine and speed sensor connection technology

CONEC Hybrid connectors soon to be certified according to IEC standard 61076-2-118. For conventional wiring of motors, servo-drives or linear units / drives, time and costs for cabling, maintenance and diagnostics are very high. Separate cables from the switch cabinet are used for the power supply and control of every single motor. This procedure does not only require much space, but also causes high costs. With the new CONEC series, a compact hybrid connector system has been developed, combining power supply and data transmission in one single connector. This technology is equivalent to the modern connection and interface wiring technology.

A switch disconnector ensures the interruption of current (under load) and the isolation of the load from the electrical supply. It provides optimal protection to users during machine maintenance as it can be locked with a padlock, preventing accidental startup during maintenance. CONEC offers a comprehensive range of M8x2 and M12x1 sockets for reflow soldering processes. Insulation bodies and female/male sockets are available in different positions and different codings for front panel mounting. The male sockets come with gold-plated contacts, guaranteeing minimum 100 mating cycles. Options are installation heights of 6 mm, 10 mm, 9 mm and 13 mm and versions with or without shielding. The sockets are available as individual parts for manual mounting or as tape & reel packaging for automatic mounting.
