ORIGIN - TERROIR Red Wine, Médoc Cru Bourgeois Pontet Barrail is located in the commune of Bégadan and has been owned by the Bibey family since 1970. Jérôme, the son, took over in 2002 and greatly contributed to enhancing the reputation and quality of their wines. The family’s dedication to the vineyard has been recognized with the prestigious "Cru Bourgeois" designation, establishing the estate as a reference point in the Médoc. The 17 hectares of Château Pontet Barrail are planted on clay-limestone and sandy gravel soils, which allow the vines, with an average age of 38 years, to flourish. VINIFICATION Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, aged in oak barrels, one-third of which are renewed annually. GRAPE VARIETIES 60% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot 6% Petit Verdot 4% Cabernet Franc TASTING NOTES Garnet-colored robe with a ruby rim. The nose offers toasted notes, with aromas of sweet spices, figs, and ripe dark fruits.

2nd wine of Ch. Beaumont. The vineyard of Château Beaumont has been known since 1824 and thirty years later its splendid castle in a Renaissance style was built. Various famous owners follow one another hoisting Beaumont to the forefront of the “Crus Bourgeois Supérieurs”. With the arrival of Mr. Etienne Priou (Manager) and with the guidance of Mr. Philippe Blanc (Ch. Beychevelle), the estate has taken a noticed qualitative turn-around since 1986 and continues to confirm its position among the sure values of its appellation and classification.
