In this segment we produce pre-assembled fiber optic cables (cable pigtails, patch cables and breakout cables) with diverse connector and coupling types (FC / PC, FC / APC, SC / PC, SC / APC, ST, E2000 / PC, E2000 / APC, FDDI, FSMA, LC/PC, LC/APC, MTRJ, LX5, MU, MPO). All work steps of manufacturing and quality inspection are carried out by our highly qualified employees at our fiber optic technology plant in St. Barbara – Wartberg. The working rooms meet all the requirements concerning climatisation and workspace for optimum working conditions.Furthermore, we produce completely assembled 19″ fiber optic patch panels that are used for fiber optic distribution or for the fiber optic termination and storage of fiber optic cables and splice cassettes in 19″ rack systems

The rapid expansion of regional and national high-speed data networks is causing an ever increasing demand for fiber optic cables and components. We face this challenge and produce fiber optic cables with single-mode, multimode or NZDS fibers in our fiber optic technology profit center in Sankt Barbara im Mürztal – OT Wartberg, and assemble the cables with the various connector types to meet the highest demands. The range of types covers all usual ground cable constructions in jelly filled and dry-filled design as well as metallic and metal-free (PA) rodent protection. Beyond that also metal-free overhead cables (ADSS) in self-supporting design for spans up to 700m and for 20kV or high voltage systems will be manufactured. With our modern measuring devices, our cables are permanently subjected to tests and controls in accordance with international standards and regulations.

Knight Optical can offer you Plane Mirrors (general, λ/1 and λ/4), for use within Fibre Optic Applications in a range of materials such as Soda-lime float glass, white float glass, and BK7 glass. Our plane mirrors are used within fibre optic applications such as testing the fibre optic signal to help understand the strength of the signal. Plane mirrors also known as front surface mirrors or first surface mirrors are used widely within Fibre Optic applications. As stock we hold many general purpose, λ/1 and λ/4 with a range of up to 6 types of coatings such as Enhanced Aluminium, Ali/SiO2 and Ali/Mgf2. Spiral clamp is designed for mounting a self supporting fiber optic cable to the light poles, towers of high voltage lines, the contact networks of railways, buildings and structures. The clamp consists of a power section, which is a U shaped strand of several spiral wires, fastened together with a special solution, on the inside of which an abrasive is applied. The protector for additional protection of the cable is a set of individual spirals or glued strands.
