This EtherCAT I/O module has been specifically designed with industrial environments in mind. Its IP 65 protection allows its installation anywhere at the machine making switching cabinets and further housings more or less redundant. You may mount the unit directly on a base plate. Due to the modules integral plug connector system, sensors and actuators are never far away from the modules. Standardised cable connections reduce mounting times while enhancing the security of the wiring. The IP65 EtherCAT I/O modules are intended for mechanical & plant engineering applications also in conjunction with systems other than those supplied by Kendrion Kuhnke Automation.

The CAN-EtherCAT gateway can link CAN modules with CANopen (CiA DS 301) or layer-2 (ISO 11898-1) implementation to a realtime EtherCAT network. The EtherCAT slave functionality is in accordance with ETG Modular Device Profile No. 5000. The module can also be configured as Ethernet switch port using the EoE protocol. Firmware updates are possible via web interface (EoE) or FoE (File access-over-EtherCAT). The CAN high speed (ISO 11898-2) compatible interface allows a maximum data-transfer rate of 1 Mbit/s. The 100BASE-TX EtherCAT interface is compatible to IEEE 802.3 and runs with 100 Mbit/s. The EtherCAT as well as the CAN interface are electrically isolated. Customization on Request.

The Delta Line Phoenix Drive product family is the next generation of highly integrated motor control solutions. By processing all real-time critical functions within the drive, the Phoenix Drive minimizes communication traffic, reduces controller dimensions and decreases the overall system cost. It also provides axis synchronization, making the Phoenix Drive a cost-effective integrated motion controller. The Phoenix Drive uses EtherCAT high speed communication protocol and is available in two configurations: B100 and B500. Both configurations include system protections such as over current, over and under voltage, overheating, phase-to-phase shorts and ground shorts. These drives control BLDC motors with both 5V encoders and hall effect sensors. The B500 Controller includes brake output of 1.3A and STO (Safe Torque Off).

The CN-8033 EtherCAT I/O module supports standard EtherCAT protocol access. The adapter supports a Max. input of 1024 bytes and a Max. output of 1024 bytes. It supports 32 pcs of extended IO modules.

Absolute encoders MEM-BUS EtherCAT comply with Profile CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE), Cia DS-406. They avail on EtherCAT conformance certification and are UL Listed for the canadian and US market. MEM-Bus encoders are supplied in multiturn version with 29 bit resolution (8192 steps/revolution x 65536 revolutions). Different mechanical versions are available to satisfy all application requirements: square flanged, round flanged with servo coupling, and with hollow shaft to couple directly to a motor shaft; all the types offer different options for the shaft/hole diameter. The electrical connection is by 3 M12 connectors. Reduced cabling and easy configuration – each slave is addressed automatically – simplify the installing operations. The stout aluminium case ensures a high protection degree, so that it is possible to apply MEM-Bus encoders in severe industrial environments.

The special feature of EtherCAT-P is the combination of superfast EtherCAT communication with the 24V power supply. Data and power (Us) for system and sensor supply with 24V and 3A are provided on a two-wire data pair.

The controller is a fieldbus device for the control of up to 7 power modules from the modular heating System from Kendrion, which are directly connected via the module bus. In addition to system monitoring, the controller can also control or regulate the individual output channels of all power modules. Actual temperature values can be delivered directly via CAN fieldbus or provided by a higher-level controller e.g. a PLC.

Recording of the angular position and revolutions by means of Hall sensors - absolute multiturn transmission for up to 4096 revolutions - data output plus parameterisation and diagnosis via EtherCAT. Robust housing (housing sickness 5 mm) manufactured from seawater-resistant aluminium (AlMgSi1) or stainless steel - stainless steel shaft - ball bearing with shaft seal - sensors circuit consisting of ASIC with Hall elements - electrical connection via M12 connector or cable outlet. In the model series TRK absolute encoders, the EtherCAT interface is integrated according to IEC 61158-2 to 6 and encoder profile CiA DSP406. As a "full slave", the TRK supports all EtherCAT addressing modes such as logical addressing, position addressing and node addressing. Use of the CANopen over EtherCAT message and the CANopen encoder profile enable parameter and diagnostic data handling as familiar from CANopen. These are contained in an object directory under the same indices as in the case of CANopen.

The ECS-PCIe/FPGA is an EtherCAT Slave Controller board designed for the PCI Express bus. It utilizes a Beckhoff IP-Core which is implemented in an Altera® FPGA and configured for 8 FMMUs, 8 Sync Managers, 60 kB DPRAM and 64 bit Distributed Clocks. The FPGA connects between the PCI Express bus and the two Ethernet interfaces on the front panel. Because of this simple hardware topology and the use of a “soft” controller the design offers a maximum of flexibility. The PCI Express system can act as an I/O node. An EtherCAT master can use several EtherCAT protocols like CoE, FoE and EoE to communicate with this EtherCAT slave device. Via pin header connectors equipped on the ECS-PCIe/FPGA 36 3.3 V LVTTL I/Os are available, including the signals from the EtherCAT Slave Controller: 2x Sync and 2x Latch for system synchronization. Device drivers for Windows® and Linux® with documentation and EtherCAT slave examples are included in the scope of delivery. Other (real time) OS on request.
