This absolute is widely used in perfumery, cosmetics and cooking due to its pleasant aromatic and taste qualities. Vanilla, a flowering tropical plant in the orchid family, is a very expensive and labor-intensive crop. It takes approximately 4-5 years after planting for vanilla to produce its first flowers and it takes 600-700 hand-pollinated flowers to produce just 1 kilogram of dried vanilla pods. Vanilla absolute (Vanilla Planifolia) is a very versatile and valuable product with multiple uses. It gives products a pleasant aroma and flavor of vanilla, making it a popular choice in culinary and perfumery. Method : Vanilla absolute (Vanilla Planifolia) is obtained from concrete by re-extraction with solvent using pure alcohol (ethanol).
