This diacyl peroxide has C14H6Cl4O4 as chemical formula and is mainly used for low temperature crosslinking of silicone rubbers .The compounds can be cured without external pressure (hot air and/or IR crosslinking). APPLICATIONS Bonds silicone substrates like elastomer joints, foams, gaskets and profiles. It is a glass fibre tape covered with a thick layer of red silicone rubber which provides the tape with a high level of heat insulation. It is a very flexible tape, which is suitable for protecting hoses and electric cables by means of bandaging without having to disassemble or disconnect the parts to be covered. It offers continuous protection at operating temperatures of 250°C and can withstand splashes of molten metal up to 1200°C.
