The Model 682C05 signal transmitter is used on the one hand to supply ICP(R)/IEPE vibration sensors and essentially to provide early warning of developing faults in rolling bearings, such as damage to the inner or outer ring, play and lack of lubrication. The unit provides two output signals, the vibration level and information about high-frequency peaks or shocks. The module also has a raw signal output for connecting machine condition analysers. Sensor or measurement transducers transform physical quantities such as rotation, speed, distance or length into analogue electric impulses. Tooling engineers are well aware of the "mean shift" term used to describe the different torque delivered by the same tool when applied to a soft or a hard joint as defined by ISO 5393.
