The boat which decorates this label is the mythical galleon of the famous Château Beychevelle which took part and sponsored the conception and creation of Grand Bateau. Today, Philippe Blanc, Château Beychevelle’s winemaker, provides us with the ultimate technical guidance in our famed assemblage of these wines. Elaborated by our oenologist starting with a selection of the best wines from our partner estates, Grand Bateau incarnates the complexity of great Bordeaux. Stylistically impeccable, consistent and unique, Grand Bateau is crafted to satisfy both young consumers and confirmed amateurs alike.

In the heart of the “Libournais” region, near Fronsac, on perfectly exposed southern slopes, the affable Ricardo and Evelyne Roberts have been running this estate since 1987. The origin of the Chateau dates back to the 14th century. Regretably, the fortress was destroyed during the French Revolution (1789).

Château Guillebot Plaisance belongs to the Villeneuve family since 6 generation now and is located in the village of Targon in the heart of the “Entre Deux Mers”. The particular “micro-climate” of the region (located between the Dordogne and the Garonne river) brings the perfect condition to produce some of the best Bordeaux Red AOC. Guillebot Plaisante Rouge is a perfect example of a wonderful Bordeaux AOC which regularly receive awards in different wine contests.
