The new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface enables digitalization of the measurement technology right from the sensor. Its compact design and high degree of protection allow the instrumentation amplifier to be used practically anywhere in the field. Strain gage sensors typically have an output voltage of a few millivolts. In industrial environments, e.g. in the vicinity of electric motors or frequency converters, interference can affect the measurement result when transmitting analog signals. This is reliably avoided using the new strain gage amplifier with IO-Link interface. The analog link between the sensor and instrumentation amplifier is kept as short as possible, the standardized IO-Link communication is fully digital and interference-free. The amplifier is powered directly via the IO-Link interface – a standardized 5-wire cable with M12 socket. Strain gage sensors can be connected via a 4-pin M8 connector.

The range of functions has been limited deliberately to ensure operation is simple and self-explanatory. With its unique, large and clear digit height of 20 mm, the digital display can be installed easily in process control panels and control cabinets. Thanks to the large choice of measurement signals that can be indicated, the display is ideal for use in a huge range of industry-based applications. As a simple and compact digital display, it can also be used as a multi-channel solution in laboratory or test systems, where several different measurements may need to be taken and displayed simultaneously. Four QuellTech Q6 3D- laser scanners are installed, mutually displaced by an angle of 90°. In this configuration, they are able to monitor the complete surface of the cable running through. It is important that the test does not lower the production speed, therefore very high sampling rates are required, supported by convenient data processing. The measured position of a defect is recorded in cable direction.

The new white light interferometer IMS5600-DS is used for distance measurements with highest precision. The controller offers a special calibration with intelligent evaluation and enables absolute measurements with subnanometer resolution. The interferometer is used for measurement tasks with the highest accuracy requirements, e.g., in electronics and semiconductor production.

The thicknessGAUGE O.EC is a compact inline measuring system in a stable O-frame design with an aluminum roller and an integrated control cabinet. The system is used for precise thickness measurements of plastic strips and coatings up to 3 mm material thickness and web widths up to max. 1250 mm. To obtain a cross profile of the material thickness, the sensor is traversed over the film. Keeping the sensor fixed at a particular position enables a thickness profile to be generated. Integration takes place in complete production lines, e.g., in plastics production and battery film production. The systems can be integrated into new plants or retrofitted directly into existing plants.

The optoNCDT 1900 offers a unique combination of speed, size, performance and application versatility for displacement, distance and position measurements. This compact triangulation sensor achieves a high measurement accuracy and measuring rates of up to 10 kHz. The high-performance optical system generates a small light spot which enables to even detect the finest of details and structures reliably.

The RS422/USB converts digital signals from up to 4 optical sensors into a USB data packet. The new converter has 4 trigger inputs and a trigger output for connecting additional converters.The data are output via an USB interface. The converter as well as the connected sensor are parametrisable by software.

Modifying the standard eddyNCDT sensors is sometimes necessary particularly for small and large series. Therefore, we modify the measuring systems according to your specific requirements, e.g., changes to the cable, sensor material and design, and to the controller. In particular, sensors with integrated electronics in a miniature housing or special sensor designs are often requested by systems integrators.

The SGS (Spindle Growth System) 4701 displacement measuring system is developed for high speed milling machine applications. Due to high machining speeds and the heat generated, the linear thermal expansion of the precision machine tool spindle needs to be compensated for in order to keep the tool in a defined position at all times. The SGS sensor measures the expansion of the spindle caused by thermal and centrifugal force. The measurement takes places typically on the labyrinth-ring. As well as the linear expansion, the temperature of the sensor is detected and output.These measurement values are fed into the CNC machine tool as correction values, compensating for any positioning errors.

The specific sensor configuration of the linear displacement sensors in the LDR series is characterized by a short, compact design with small diameter. The compact design and the small sensor diameter facilitate the installation of the measurement systems in locations where space is restricted.

Inductive sensors from Micro-Epsilon are based on the eddy current principle and designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibrations. They are particularly suitable when high precision is required in harsh industrial environments (pressure, dirt, temperature).
