They are manufactured in 7x7 or 7x19 designs (other designs are possible). Their design allows good rubber saturation and distribution. Skim layers: A special chemical process provides excellent rubber/metal adhesion in the steel cord conveyor belt. The design of the steel cords leads to outstanding adhesion that surpasses any standards. Good rubber saturation and high adhesion on each cord provide germanBelt® steel cord conveyor belts with extraordinarily high longevity. Covers: The covers’ abrasion resistance, tensile strength and elongation value depend on the quality of the chosen combination of covers of the steel cord conveyor belt. Lateral reinforcements: The steel cord conveyor belts’ reinforcements consist of lateral steel cords with very high elasticity, or of textile fabric. The lateral reinforcements are worked into the carcass or the cover.

These fabrics possess a good tensile strength/weight ratio, have excellent flexibility and troughability, low elongation, high impact resistance and good chemical resistance. Covers: The carcass of the fabric belts is protected by covers. Cover qualities or grades are characterized by the conveyor belts’ chemical and physical properties. Inclined systems require cleats or fabric conveyor belts with grooved surfaces. Cover thickness depends on the properties of the transported material and on loading conditions. Skim layers: Rubber skim layers in the fabric conveyor belt’s carcass provide excellent adhesion between the plies and efficient distribution of tension. For special applications, it is possible to vulcanize the inner splice or to make a special splice based on our in-house engineering methods. This increases the tensile strength by up to 60%. PU round belts, extruded in open lengths, are homogeneous round profiles that can be welded for use as high-quality power transmission and conveying elements. Our stock mainly comprises solid profiles with a smooth or slightly roughened surface and hollow profiles for nipple connections. Several types have FDA/USDA approval and comply with EU Directive 2007/19/EC. Although we generally produce in open lengths, we can also produce all belts according to your specifications. Our round belts convey a wide range of products such as foodstuffs, glass, roof tiles, PC boards and many more. The standard range of round belts is rounded off with aramid, polyester or glass-fiber reinforcements. If an appropriate quantity is purchased, we also produce special types with PES or aramid reinforcements.
