With an EtherCAT master and two additional CANopen interfaces the new CODESYS control Scout from Kendrion can be used as a HMI and control unit. The simple CODESYS V3 programming ensures an efficient engineering. Furthermore, Scout has optionally 4 digital inputs and outputs. Kuhnkes FIO Safety SDI16/SDO2 is a safety I/O terminal featuring 16 safe digital input channels and four safe digital output channels. This expansion module from Kuhnke's FIO range easily integrates in any EtherCAT® network. 16 inputs pick up sensor readings via floating 24 VDC contacts while four outputs send up to 0.5 A of current per channel to 24 VDC actuators. In case the EtherCAT terminal detects a fault it changes to a safe state (fail safe). The Kuhnke FIO Controller 116 is a PLC based on i.MX6 with integrated CODESYS PLC. It is able to exchange data with other systems via industrial Ethernet and RS232. In addition, a built-in SD-card slot and a USB-interface allow local storage of process data. An interrupt input allows realizing fastest possible reactions on specific process events. As far as mechanic properties and form factor are concerned, the controller matches the FIO I/O modules, which can be attached directly to form a mechanically and electrically homogenous unit. Using an additional extender module also the control of remote EtherCAT slaves is possible. The Kuhnke CIO compact I / O connects various input and output signals in a compact housing for the DIN rail. The process data are made available via the CANopen interface according to the device profile CiA 401 of the higher-level control system. Our original control systems for technological processes are based on PLC controllers. In the installations designed and manufactured by us, we mainly use subassemblies from market-leading brands such as SIEMENS, Allen-Bradley or EATON. We can implement any controller offered by the manufacturers mentioned above to our systems. Our goal is to constantly develop, expand our knowledge and improve our workshop. In our projects, we strive to communicate the largest possible number of equipment used with one compatible communication protocol, thus avoiding additional electrical connections and gaining an easy possibility to diagnose problems caused in case of a potential failure. In our applications, we use SCADA and HMI systems. Each of them features a huge range of possibilities and allows to adapt particular requirements to specific solutions individually designed for a given client.
