Bitumen-polymer adhesive tape BITUMER TB90 coiled material consisting of petroleum bitumen, polymer and texturing agents. Liquid asphalt is bitumen dissolved in an aromatic hydrocarbon, petroleum or another solvent. The standard process involves heating the bitumen to reduce its viscosity and then mixing it with an appropriate hydrocarbon fraction. The resulting bituminous solution is used as: •a primer material, •a bitumen thinner, •a material to serve as a priming layer for aggregate before applying subsequent asphalt layers. Drilling Fluid Grade – An important characteristic of Gilsonit is its softening-point temperature. In oil-base muds. It use as fluid-loss control agent because it`s hydrocarbon properties. It`s naturally wetted by oil. In water base mud, it is used as a shale-stabilizer additive and is difficult to evaluate unless tested at or above its softening point. Oxidized Bitumen is a peculiar amorphous material which is generally in liquid form when discharged by oxidation plants at a temperature ranging from 240°-300°C., and becomes solid or pasty at ambient temperatures. While being relatively hot, it is viscous, whereas when in pasty or solid state it possesses a fair degree of elasticity.
