Unloading - Import export

You can load and unload goods at any of our fourteen loading docks. These loading docks are strategically spaced across our grounds so that the distance between materials and docks is minimised. We have double-wide docks for when several containers need to be loaded or unloaded. That way, a new container is always ready and waiting, so you don’t waste a minute of time. Our employees complete training and coursework every semester to keep them up to date on legislation and best practices for cargo securing.

At Verkooijen, a specialised professional team manages the bulk-tanker unloading process. We can then temporarily store your goods in a silo, or pack them directly into the packaging of your choice. We can load your cargo into bulk tankers from every conceivable type of packaging: bags, big bags, octabins, silos, or containers. We load bulk tankers with plastic granules, regrind, and powders every day. Should your goods contain irregularities (angel hair, streamers, double pellets, lumps), we have a variety of sieves at your disposal to filter these deformities from your cargo. That helps to preserve the value of your lot, and thus your margin.

For unloading bags and small boxes, we have a fully automated unloading line at your disposal. A telescope belt slides all the way into the lorry or container where your goods will be placed. Then your cargo is automatically palletised and wrapped in a protective sleeve or film.
