We carry out the following analyses on foodstuffs, organic materials and rinse water. DNA detection We detect the DNA of various plant and animal species for you using real-time PCR. DNA quantification Once a positive detection has been established, the DNA detected can be quantified for both plant and animal species. Meat traceability This test is used to compare the genetic profiles of two samples taken from an animal (for example an ear in the abattoir and meat in the supermarket). This is used to prove whether or not the samples come from the same individual animal. Identification We use sequencing and the bioinformatic analysis of certain genes to identify the bacteria, plant or animal species in a sample.

When registering a cosmetic product, you need to gather various documents specific to your product and to its ingredients. When starting the process, the list of documents needed to start the first step is mainly limited to raw materials. Even though this process takes time and requires many back and forth with your suppliers to ensure the correct documents are supplied, you should be able to gather them smoothly. Among these documents, the safety data sheets are crucial to enable our experts review your formula. Yet, all markets do not have the same requirements, it's always possible that specific documents we have requested simply do not exist or your suppliers/manufacturers do not have them. In such a case, it's always possible to create them from scratch. Please let us know when you have difficulties finding the SDS of an ingredient. Our SDS partners can easily fill in the gap to cover this obligation.

Candles and non-combustible air fresheners are subject to specific categorization under EU regulations, aligning with efforts to ensure the safety and quality of consumer goods. To ensure the safety of products on the market, it is important to meet all compliance standards. Taobé’s experts will guide you through the CLP Regulation, the standards related to the labelling and safety testing of your candles (EN 15494:2019, EN 15493:2019, EN 15426:2018), and the Unique Formula Identifier, UFI, that will need to be included on the product’s label (crucial in notifying your product through the Poison Center Notification portal for the markets in which your candles will be available for sale). Taobé extends its Responsible Person services agreement to cover general use products, ensuring compliance with the new General Product Safety Regulation.

A thorough toxicological evaluation on raw materials is key if your company has ambition to sell raw materials to European manufacturers, as the raw materials must meet certain requirements to guarantee their safe use in cosmetic products. By making this evaluation available, you increase the sales possibilities all over Europe. This is also a key step to be able to approach the big players (L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, etc.) who will consider you as a serious partners as you will show a non-negotiable approach to quality and ensure the highest level of effectiveness and safety to end-customers. Taobé’s safety assessors will be able to develop a Dossier including: -A full toxicological assessment report of the raw material, according to the SCCS Notes of Guidance, demonstrating the safety of the cosmetic ingredient/s according to the utmost authority in Europe. -A CLP SDS, to provide to importers for REACH notification.
