Most active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Citrobacter spp. Used parenterally in treatment of serious infections of lower respiratory tract and urinary system when widely used systemic antibiotics are ineffective because of development of bacterial resistance. Inhalational administration is recommended for patients with mucoviscidosis.
