The most common applications of epoxy resin are evident in polyacid and anhydride cures. Isoseal ® tapes are thermal shrinkable laminates of different construction with epoxy-resin impregnation. ISOSEAL® is mainly used for protecting the overhang part of low and high voltage coils and bars against ambient stress and wherever a flexible waterproof insulation is required.

ISOCARBON® is a rigid carbon reinforced epoxy laminate which covers a broad spectrum of applications with the resin systems developed by ISOVOLTA AG. ISOCARBON® with the high temperature resisting epoxy resin ISOPREG® KB allows applications up to 200°C.

ISOVAL® A is prepared from glass fabric impregnated with the standard version of the ISOVAL® epoxy system. Laminates exhibit high mechanical strength with good dynamic properties up to 120°C, very good chemical resistance as well as excellent thermal endurance properties up to 155°C. The fine glass fabric combined with a special epoxy resin gives a very smooth surface and enables finest drillings to be done.
