We design our angular contact ball bearings especially for bearing arrangements that have to support combined loads such as radial and axial forces acting simultaneously. As the name suggests, in angular contact ball bearings the forces are transmitted from one raceway to the other at a specific contact angle, oblique to the radial plane. As the nominal pressure angle increases, so does the axial load carrying capacity. Our KIS range includes single-row angular contact ball bearings as well as bearings arranged in pairs. Depending on the application requirement, which for example has a small installation space and requires a rigid bearing arrangement, a double-row design may also be suitable. Double-row angular contact ball bearings are used in applications when heavy radial, thrust or combined loads demand axial rigidity of the shaft are required. This is similar to a duplex pair of single- row bearings due to its two rows of balls and angular-contact construction, which provide greater axial and radial rigidity than can be obtained by using a single-row radial bearing. We manufacture these ball bearings with a minimum bore diameter of 3 mm to a maximum outer diameter of 47 mm.

Due to their preload, the angular contact ball bearings provide a high level of stiffness, excellent concentricity, precise tool positioning and repeatability. The integrated lowfriction seal effectively keeps dirt away from the bearing, thereby ensuring excellent operating safety and a long service life. The bearing friction coefficient Mrl is a reference value. The moment of inertia corresponds to that of the rotating inner ring. The limiting speeds are applicable after grease is applied. Technical data All bearings are supplied ready for mounting with lubricating grease type KE2P35 acc. to DIN 51825. Housing and shaft tolerances correspond to roundness tolerance class IT2 and perpendicularity tolerance class IT4.

Franke bearing asseblies type LVC are bearing assemblies made of steel, designed as double row angular contact ball bearings with integrated bearing elements. Franke LVC are suitable for highest circumferential speeds. They convince by very high dynamics and a very low rotational resistance. The double row angular contact ball bearings in a 4-point arrangement are preloaded. They are insensitive to shocks and vibrations. The low rotational resistance and the minimal breakaway torque reduce the required drive power. Due to the low coefficients of friction, Type LVC bearing assemblies operate almost maintenance-free and achieve a long service life.

Franke FDH linear guides are suitable for linear movement tasks, especially in dynamic pick-&-place applications. They have rollers with angular contact ball bearings for the highest acceleration and speed values, for example when using linear motors as the drive source. Rail elements can be manufactured in lengths from 200 mm to 4000 mm and can be coupled endlessly.

Franke bearing asseblies type LVG are bearing assemblies made of aluminum, designed as double row angular contact roller bearings with integrated bearing elements. LVG bearing assemblies are suitable for the highest load ratings. They convince by high rigidity, low rotational resistance and low weight. Designed as roller bearings, they can support high loads from all directions and are insensitive to shocks and vibrations. Franke LVG are sealed on both sides and are set with preload. By using aluminum, Franke beaing assemblies type LVG are 60% lighter than comparable steel bearings.

Are you operating an application requiring a bearing arrangement with high load carrying capacity with low-noise operation? Our durable four-point bearings are the perfect solution for this scenario and can support high axial loads as well as radial forces (relatively lower) in both directions. Four-point bearings are similar in structure to double-row angular contact ball bearings, but are much narrower in the axial direction due to a single raceway. The circular arc-shaped raceways in the inner and outer ring have opposite centres of curvature so that the balls contact the races at four points under radial load. If there is a predominantly radial load, four-point bearings should be avoided due to the higher friction in four-point contact. In assembly, one of the two races, often the inner race, is split to insert the balls. Since four-point contact bearings are often installed radially exposed, the outer rings can optionally be equipped with retaining grooves to prevent rotation.
